I've been dissecting 2028 players at every position. Now, we have the wide receivers. This in-state class is deep at the top, but many guys fall in after that first group, and even in the middle, who could be legit D1 prospects.

Today, we'll check out five players. One has already broken out, but has the chance to develop and become one of the top options in the southeast in BGA's Max Curry.

The other four are Christopher Hood, [player_tooltip player_id='1662941' first='Damari' last='Allen'], [player_tooltip player_id='1181298' first='Pierce' last='Washington'] and [player_tooltip player_id='424660' first='Hank' last='DeGennaro'], who have been productive but could become top receivers in Tennessee.

The Battle Ground Academy wide receiver is a slot guy, but plays the position extremely well. He has blazing speed and acceleration, which allows him to constantly take the top off defenses.

Curry is a great deep threat, but he can do much more. BGA uses him on screens due to his impressive vision, cuts, athleticism and burst to navigate his way through the opposition. He has nice hands and can be aggressive if necessary. Just an excellent receiver who's already picked up multiple P4 offers.

Hood is a good player for Whitehaven and could be a top in-state receiver for the class of 2028 when it's all said and done. He's got nice size and can make contested catches.

That ability is nice, but he's also athletic and quick, allowing him to create separation from defenders. His agility and vision are solid, weaving through traffic or finding a running lane once he's in open space. Hood's speed is good, which leads to him being open a lot for explosive plays.

I'm a big fan of what this young receiver has to offer. He already has good height at 6-foot-2 and a frame to add more weight, while being very athletic. Allen is a versatile player who's used all over the field with deep shots, screen plays, short routes, on the outside and has been seen in the slot.

He's a shifty player with nice agility and twitch, showing he can make something happen after the catch. Allen is a solid route runner who is quick off the line and consistently creates separation. The 2028 WR also hustles every play. He's always going 110% and doesn't jog on his routes.

Washington is an athletic freak with good size and athleticism for someone as big as he is. He's an outside receiver who's excellent at jump-ball situations, but is a pleasant surprise as a route runner.

He's swift, has nice cuts and incredible speed to take it the distance on any play. He jumps and high points the ball well, partially due to his basketball background. Washington has that rare combination of speed and athleticism mixed with a big body, making him an intriguing player.

DeGennaro is a solid player on a loaded Baylor team, but is primed to take the next step soon. He's a fluid route runner with nice cuts and is smooth when changing direction. The sophomore receiver also features strong hands and a good feel for where he is on the field.

DeGennaro is used in multiple ways for the Red Raider offense, lining up as an outside and inside receiver. The 6-foot-1 player is a good run blocker on the outside with a high motor to play through the echo of the whistle.

I've been dissecting 2028 players at every position. Now, we have the wide receivers. This in-state class is deep at the top, but many guys fall in after that first group, and even in the middle, who could be legit D1 prospects.
