The 2025 football season is in full swing and Prep Redzone Oklahoma will have new content every single day from now until the end of the season in December. Every Friday on Prep Redzone Oklahoma, we're throwing on the film and looking at prospects that we've never written about. For most of the players that we feature on these breakdowns, we'll know the names but we haven't had the chance to really write about them and break down what they bring to the football field. Here is where we do that. So check back every Friday as we look at five more names that we've never written about as we continue to provide the deepest coverage of Oklahoma high school football.

[player_tooltip player_id='1830961' first='Cashawn' last='Thompson'] - 2027 Wide Receiver/Defensive Back - Tecumseh

Tecumseh junior [player_tooltip player_id='1830961' first='Cashawn' last='Thompson'] exploded on our radar this week as he went from somewhat of an unknown across the state to picking up his first D1 offer from UTSA. Sean Cooper of C4 in Durant is someone we always trust when it comes to the evaluation of southern Oklahoma prospects and he's stamped Thompson as a D1-level cornerback. We put on the film from early on in this season and you see a player that's definitely a two-way star at the high school level. On offense, he's a gamechanger at the wide receiver position. He has good size and he's incredibly explosive with the ball in his hands. Then you see the tape of Thompson on the defensive side of the ball and you see a player with really good instincts and vision in the secondary. And when you combine that with a very fast reaction time and overall speed, you get a player that checks a lot of boxes from a cornerback perspective. Tecumseh has a handful of athletes that are definitely fun to watch but Thompson is one where it's clear that his ceiling is incredibly high moving forward. At the start of this week, Thompson was somewhat of an unknown to us but now he's on the radar and it will be interesting to see if that UTSA offer ends up opening a lot more eyes and we end up seeing Thompson explode this season as a 2027 prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='1837834' first='Gavin' last='Roberts'] - 2026 Wide Receiver - Pryor

We had the benefit of watching Pryor on Thursday night as they took down Rogers on the road and one of the more impressive individual performances came from senior [player_tooltip player_id='1837834' first='Gavin' last='Roberts'] at the wide receiver position. It was clear that the Tigers were going to spread the ball around on Thursday night and they were really able to do whatever they wanted to do offensively. But Roberts ended up being the main target on Thursday and he's now a player we want to see more of moving forward. The Tigers have quite a few players to watch on that offensive side of the ball and Roberts was a name that we weren't as familiar with coming into the game. On the night he finished with a couple touchdown receptions and he also had a third touchdown negated by a penalty. Roberts was a reliable target in the Pryor passing game and that's a passing game that could very well be the best in Class 5A. When you take into account the quarterback and all the weapons at the wide receiver position, it might be at the very top. Roberts was also making a lot of catches in traffic and absorbing that contact and protecting the football. Again, we didn't know that much about Roberts coming into the game but he's a solid wide receiver that has good size, reliable hands and knows how to get open and make the tough catches in traffic.

[player_tooltip player_id='1838086' first='Hudson' last='Able'] - 2026 Tight End - Oklahoma Christian School

This is the second straight week we've had somebody from Oklahoma Christian School on this breakdown. But while we were watching their quarterback on film, we noticed this tall tight end that plays a very physical brand of football. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='1838086' first='Hudson' last='Able'] is that player and we were impressed with some of the early film he's put out so far. He's lining up as a traditional tight end but also split out wide and also taking direct snaps. As if that wasn't enough, Able is also the punter and can absolutely boom it. But we were very impressed with his work as a tight end. The blocking and physicality is there. Then you see him as a major red zone target because of his height. Able is also listed on the defensive side of the ball but we haven't seen very many clips there yet. But what we have seen from him on offense has been impressive to watch. Now, we are fired up to see what he's able (pun intended) to do now that we're moving into district play. The Saints are in a district that features three other teams ranked in the 2A-1 rankings with Jones, Millwood and Mount St. Mary. The competition is about to be ratcheted up in a major way. We'll also be catching OCS in person in two weeks when they travel to face Millwood. We'll get a much better sense of how this senior tight end projects after seeing him go to work in person against a top ten team.

[player_tooltip player_id='1838604' first='Nate' last='Jackson'] - 2026 Linebacker - Broken Arrow

Broken Arrow has quite a few new faces on their roster this season but senior linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1838604' first='Nate' last='Jackson'] might be the most underrated new addition to the Tiger lineup. Talking to some Broken Arrow coaches before the Mustang game in week two, Jackson was mentioned as a name that needs to be talked about more. So we watched the senior linebacker play against the Broncos and he's a relentless linebacker that has a motor that doesn't seem to slow down. Jackson came over to Broken Arrow from Metro Christian and the transition from small school ball to playing for the largest school in the state has clearly not been a problem. Jackson has good size, good instincts and plays the game looking to destroy whatever he hits. And for the most part, he has accomplished that through the first month of the season. Now, we're looking forward to seeing how Jackson looks this week in particular. They're hosting an Owasso team that has an offense with some very explosive skill players and a running back that looks like one of the better guys in Class 6A-1. Watching that match-up with Jackson roaming in the Broken Arrow defense is one that we're going to be interested to see how it plays out. We heard what the coaches told us, we saw it for ourselves in person and on film and this is a linebacker that definitely needs to be on more radars.

[player_tooltip player_id='1838225' first='Zeke' last='Rogers'] - 2028 Wide Receiver - Mangum

Our last prospect on this week's feature is Mangum sophomore wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1838225' first='Zeke' last='Rogers'] and he's another example of that gamechanger at the wide receiver position. Mangum has absolutely dominated through the non-district schedule so the starters were done fairly early in each game. When it comes to his production, Rogers should get more opportunities as the season moves along. But what he has put on film already is very impressive. Rogers only has ten catches this season but four of them were touchdowns and he's averaging 23 yards per reception. The signs are all there that Rogers could be one of the better playmakers in Class A-2 this season. He's measured in at 6'4 and the film so far this season is very impressive. Rogers is another example of "just throw it, (fill in the blank) is down there somewhere." The Mangum sophomore is a match-up nightmare at his size and there is a lot of athleticism as he can go up and get the ball. He's made some very tough catches look incredibly easy and natural. Simply put, there's a lot to like about his game already this season. Just a sophomore, Rogers is a player that we're fired up to see in person later this season. Mangum's offense has been lights out this season and Rogers is one piece in that machine. He's a 2028 prospect firmly on our radar now.
