We scrolled across the Dakotas hunting for Week 2/3 tape from defensive linemen and offensive linemen and found five more this week that stood out in our eyes. We break down the tape, the stats (if any) and more with these five below.

Kullen is one that was in my top-tier for defensive linemen at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase last Spring and put together an impressive Week 2 tape against Fargo North. The Bruins 2027 defensive end is getting smoother penetration getting downhill to the ball and it's evident that Kullen is learning how to utilize his range with his long frame that sits within our top 20 in the 2027 class. I can also tell from last Spring that Kullen has gotten swifter with his hands and its clear that against Fargo North that he could overwhelm the offensive linemen with that skillset and others.

One of the biggest 2028 stockrisers you will see in our North Dakota rankings update in a couple of weeks? That will be [player_tooltip player_id='1841109' first='Owen' last='Hunt'] of Valley City who is one of the most overpowering centers we have in the entire state of North Dakota. He's got a quick first step for his 6'5 295 pounder frame and has nasty hands at the point of attack that flash a great pad-level and constant great drive leverage into the second level as it's clear as day Owen knows how to block until that whistle blows. The amount of times on tape where I find Owen already pancaking the offensive linemen to the turf when his running is entering the backfield is significant.

The amount of Tea Area defensive linemen that have drawn my attention over the last handful of months is significant, as another one has rose this week in their 2027 class which is defensive end [player_tooltip player_id='1649621' first='Hayden' last='Bialas']. Hayden via tape, shows off firm hands that get off the defender fluidly and what was even more impressive on tape against Aberdeen Central is how sudden Hayden's release is once he gets off the block and accelerates to the ball carrier. His stat line was a monster last Friday, with four tackles, (1 TFL), one sack, 2 pass breakups and a blocked punt which has to be one of the biggest defensive stat stuffers we've seen thus far this season. Surely is a 2027 defensive end that needs to be moved up our South Dakota board.

One of our top ranked 2026 offensive linement that is still uncommitted that had an encourging Week 2 tape against Grand Forks Red River is Bismarck St. Mary's [player_tooltip player_id='1161045' first='Roman' last='Barnes']. The tape starts off with Roman showing development with his fluid movement with his footwork to drive and control the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen for a pancake. The other area I have seen growth this fall is with his pad-level as I felt he's more efficent for his size in with that skillset than where he was 3-5 months ago. He's one that has some NAIA offers, but I surely have a D2 grade on Roman as the 6'5 295 pounder has a lot of upside that you can groom in a college strength and conditioning program.

Probably the biggest 2026 sleeper on this list is Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock two-way trench monster [player_tooltip player_id='1226855' first='Larry' last='Umber']. His first look on tape against Beach shows Larry with a size mismatch, but the determination and excellent pad-level he executes at the point of attack allows him to fluidly move that bigger body into the second level as a credit to his balanced footwork as during that rep. That next rep was also intriguing, as Larry won the hands and balance battle early and got the defensive linemens feet off balance and showed off the finish I want to see out of any offensive linemen out there. Larry still remains a sleeper in this 2026 class that I don't know how he doesn't have an offer yet.
