Class A D1: 4 Dangerous Teams Come Post-Season

One team from the highly competitive Region 6, two from Region 2 and one from Region 4. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size">ACE Charter </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Gryphons are 4-1 overall and 3-1 in Region 2 play. They have an important 20-15 Region win over Dodge Co. Their only loss on the season came in a 29-0 shutout loss to #5 Ranked Northeast Macon.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size">Players to Watch</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bryson Vincent (RB/DB): The 2026 (5'9 165) RB/LB has been the go to guy for the Gyphers. His averaging over 142 yds rushing per game, scoring 12 TDs. A multisport athlete that averaged double digit scoring last season on the hardwood. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>William Winters (LB): The 6'3 204 Class of '27 LB has been a menace to opposing offenses. Winters has eclipsed the 10 TT mark in each of the 4 Gryphon wins with an impressive 10 TFL. The team has bought into 2nd year Head Coach Crutchfield's system and look to be a dangerous out down the stretch. They are 1-0 in Region 6 and 4-1 overall with their only loss coming on the road at Putnam County (16-14). A danger with his legs that keeps the defense honest. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='651681' first='Khemp' last='Boyd'] (ATH): The 6'3 195 Class of '27 ATH has to be the breakout player of 2025. He can score in all 3 phases of the game and has several multi TD games this season including a 5 TD performance in Fridays win over Darlington. They had a huge Region win over #11 Bleckley Co to start the season but were upset by ACE in Week 3. A very dangerous offense that have scored 30+ in their 4 wins. They are not a team you want to draw Round 1 of the Post-Season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size">Players to Watch</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kain Mincey (QB): The 6'3 200 Junior is one of the more under rated QB prospects in the lower classifications. A long and lean frame with a good arm. He has passed for over 1200 yards with 12 TDs with just 3 INTs. Multisport athlete. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1881575' first='Jauriel' last='Bray'] (WR): Another Junior Indian that has had a good 1st half of '25. The 6'1 160 WR/DB is on pace to eclipse the 1000-yd receiving mark and has been a reliable target for Mincey. Their defense has been solid in their 3 wins, one a 16-14 victory over before mentioned Haralson Co. A great coached team with a lot of athletes. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size">Players to Watch</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Christian Farley (LB): The 6'0 210 Senior is coming off an All Region selection in 2024 were he had 103 TT with 24 TFLs. Great nose for football, good vision and athletic with speed to close quick and drop in coverage. Worth a next level evaluation. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Omarion Butts (RB/LB): The 5'11 195 Senior has been the catalyst on both sides of the ball through the 1st Half of '25. He is averaging 12 carries a game for a little over 75 ypg with 6 rushing TDs. He rarely leaves the field on Friday night and has explosive speed from the LB spot.
