Looking to rebound following a rough week 1 loss to Bishop Heelan, Sergeant Bluff-Luton had another tough battle this week against Lewis Central. The Titans were able to keep up with the Warriors for the most part, proving to match them offensively and maintain a competitive battle. However, the Warriors were in complete control on the ground, rushing for 497 yards and 4 touchdowns, ultimately reclaiming the lead with 2 minutes to go. The Warriors held on to win, snapping a 5-game losing streak to Lewis Central.

Newton delivered with a strong defensive effort for much of the first 3 quarters against the Comets, forcing 2 turnovers and creating distress for their offense. However, the Comets clicked during the 4th quarter, combined with 2 turnovers and 11 penalties enforced on the Cardinals, North Polk fought their way back in the game, ultimately reclaiming the lead on a 5 yard rushing TD with just 29 seconds to go. North Polk's win allows them to stay at the forefront of the conference as the Comets have now won 15 in a row dating back to last year.

Pella was able to crack the Go-Hawks defense in the 4th quarter, thanks to their 165 total rushing yards, Pella took the lead with 4 minutes left. The Go-Hawks made a push deep into Pella's territory, but were stood up on a 4th and short run, allowing Pella to stay unbeaten.

Finding more consistency overall with their plays, Grinnell engineered a quick drive culminating with a game-winning TD run with over a minute left to play, giving a win that Grinnell hopes to build upon as they look to remain in contention within the Class 3A conference this season.
