Quite simply, Tyrell was the best player on the field on Friday Night. Tyrell started as the Ravens' running back, and probably had over 100 yards rushing on the ground easily. Tyrell also had a couple of nice catches out of the backfield, using his experience as a receiver to win against linebackers in pass coverage. Tyrell has elite athleticism and speed in the open field, and sometimes you can just see a player has "it". His Head Coach, Kenneth McClamrock, believes Tyrell is the best 2028 prospect in Charlotte, and I think he made a very strong case with his play in this game. Tyrell also started in the secondary on defense.

Playing left tackle, Mykie was probably the Ravens' best overall offensive lineman I saw. I thought Mykie did a pretty good job in pass protection, as there were some issues from other areas on the line of scrimmage. Mykie was able to drive block effectively in the run game as well, and I think he could actually play either inside or outside at the next level. I think Mykie would benefit from being in a camp session where he can show college coaches how well he can bend and move in space - if he can show those things, I can see offers coming his way later this year.

A returning All-Conference player, Joseph, I thought, showed he can move well in his positions on both the offensive and defensive line. Joseph projects more as an interior lineman on the next level, and I thought he played overall with good technique in both the running game and the passing game. When Joseph got the opportunity to pull, he moved well in space and was able to get out in front of backs to lead the way to some nice runs.

Elijah was definitely the #1 playmaker for the Cardinals. He was able to score on a deep touchdown pass from quarterback Malachi Rowley in the third quarter, where Elijah just ran a streak route down the sideline, using his speed to get behind the corner in coverage. Berry also used Elijah in the running game, and even attempted a fake punt with him in the first half which was unsuccessful. Elijah, though, is a very good athlete who can use his speed and vision to affect the game as a returner on special teams also.

I was excited to see Mensah up close, but the Berry offense had trouble getting the ball to him in the passing game - he might have had one catch in the game at the most. The more disappointing thing was that Mensah was open on a number of downfield passing concepts, but he just couldn't get accurate passes his way. That's not his fault, but the Cardinals may get more creative getting the ball in his hands in future games, because he can be a real playmaker when he gets it.
