Beehive Buzz Live: Game of the Week- Salem Hills at Timpanogos

This has the potential to be an offensive juggernaut. Both teams have excellent quarterback play and in high powered offenses. Salem Hills is coming off a bye week and should be primed to go. Timpanogos is looking to get rid of the sour taste of last week. Let's take a look at some key players.   Salem Hills    Hales has been excellent this season and has been quick at processing and getting the ball out in rhythm. He's able to ride additional time and has the ability to navigate the pocket and when doing so he'll stress the defense and take deep shots. His accuracy and ball placement has been terrific this season and he's able to navigate the offense and get them going and stay ahead of the chains.     Peyton is an exceptional two-way player who shines on both sides of the ball. As a receiver, he showcases a good release package and has excellent footwork. His route running is good and he creates late separation and is strong at the catch point. He uses his quick burst the accelerate pass his corner and he has excellent ball tracking skills. He's a fluid athlete and moves well laterally. His skill set translates defensively as he showcases good range and cover skills. He does well with disrupting passing lanes and will make a play on the ball. He's primed for a huge game on the road against Timpanogos.     Wilson is a player with a good frame and room to grow into. He has a large catch and transitions well upfield. He tracks the ball well and has strong hands, he's a big play target for Salem Hills.     Fusselman has been the lead runner but is used in the pass game. His duality allows him to stay on the field and brings versatility to Salem Hills. He can make defenders miss in open space and is a dependable outlet receiver.     Ben has been a Swiss army knife and will contribute in multiple avenues for Salem Hills. He is used as a receiver where they scheme him up in the short to intermediate and they let him create in space by giving him opportunities behind the line of scrimmage. Defensively he can be used at either safety spot and shows good instincts and minimizes the big plays. His contributions on both sides of the ball helps Salem Hills tremendously.     Sam is an active backer and is one of the key pieces on that defense. His ability to make a play and weaving through traffic helps stymie big plays from developing. He is best as an on-ball pressing backer that brings a dynamic aspect as a pass rusher. He can rush from his backer role and would like to see him used more as a key EDGE rusher on 3rd downs. He brings a lot to the table and a big part of why Salem Hills is able to be versatile on defense.    Timpanogos    Hillstead will look to get off to a quick start. Timpanogos has a new receiving room and he'll need to direct them where to go and get them in the right spots. He's a signal caller with a calming presence and he stands tall in the pocket. He shows good pocket navigation and has a quick delivery. He does a good job of leading his receivers open and shows good ball placement. With the first quarter of the season under his belt, if he and his receivers can get the timing down, it'll be all systems go.     Logan is the future at the quarterback position but he's a tremendous athlete and finds ways to get on the field this year. He's been used to catch passes and he's been in at quarterback this year and also brings a spark to the ground game. It'll be interesting to see if/how he is used in this contest.     LaPray is a big bodied receiver who will be a key target in the end zone and converting on key third downs. He has a large catch radius and does well in contested catch situations.     Marlee is an effective and versatile backer. He does well diagnosing plays and is a key part of the defense and getting them aligned correctly. He does a good job of weaving through traffic and showing good closing speed and pursuit to the ball carrier. He'll be needed to help stop the high powered offense of Salem Hills.     King has been a tremendous four year player and is a disruptor. He is good off the line, shows good physicality and is a player that has good bend and can use that in conjunction with his power to win. He'll need to bring pressure early, and often if Timpanogos is to stop Salem Hills.     Kendall has been a big part of the secondary unit. He has good athleticism, shows the necessary hip fluidity and has good range and closing speed. He does well in disrupting passing lanes and making a play on the ball and isn't afraid to help out in run support.    That was our look at the Game of the Week.
