A sure-tackling linebacker in the Athens area lighting up the stat sheet right now, Bade is a gritty, max-effort defender who made at least 10 tackles in each of his three games of the season. Just a sophomore, Bade is a guy who plays hard with strong instincts and the ability to chase down the ball-carrier. He's made 38 tackles so far this season with four TFLs and two sacks. He's one of the top young linebackers in the area and one of the region's leading tacklers. He'll be added to the next 2028 Prep Redzone rankings.

A new 2028 safety to keep a close eye on this season, Freeman is an athletic defensive back with a promising 6-foot-2 170-pound frame who doesn't shy away from contact. Just a sophomore, Freeman plays hard and is currently one of the leading tacklers in that area of the state. The Sharpsburg native made 31 tackles through his first three games, making 12 tackles against Sandy Creek, 10 against Newnan, and 9 against North Cobb. He's active, strikes the ball-carrier correctly, and can even make plays on special teams. He's a fast-rising prospect who could see his recruitment start to pick up in January if he continues to have a big season.

A Gainesville-area linebacker with quickness and above-average athleticism, Garrison is a max-effort style of defender who plays hard and knows how to tackle. He's been really impressive to start his sophomore season as he's made 26 tackles through his first two games. Garrison made 13 tackles and one fumble recovery in week one against Jackson County and then made 13 tackles, two TFLs and one sack in game two against Habersham Central. He's one of the top linebackers in the area and has a chance to see some real college interest come his way at the end of the year. Look for Garrison to be added to the next 2028 Prep Redzone rankings.

A consistent, dependable defender in the Athens area, this promising sophomore may not be the biggest or fastest linebacker, but he plays hard, knows how to tackle, and has improved more and more early this season. He made five tackles in week one, six tackles in week two, and an eye-opening 14 tackles in week three. He's a strong competitor and one of the leading tacklers around Athens in the 2028 class. His best football is ahead of him, and if he keeps improving, could push for All-Region honors at the end of the season.

A new Forsyth County defender to keep a close eye on, Biggs is a physically gifted linebacker for his age at 6-foot-1 185-pounds with impressive instincts and closing speed. He plays hard, can attack the quarterback, and can fight off blocks really well for a second-year player. He's been a tackling machine through his first three games, making 10 tackles in week one, four tackles and two sacks in week two, and then eight tackles in week three. He's a 2028 linebacker on the rise who could garner some D1 interest and possible offers down the roads.
