[player_tooltip player_id='611846' first='Israel' last='Abrams'] (Montini)

The 6'4" 185 pound quarterback from Montini led his team to a state championship as a sophomore. He powered them with 2,033 yards and 29 TD in the air. Also ran for 335 yards and only threw 3 picks while going undefeated as a starter. Long and wiry signal caller that has an elite deep ball letting if fly with ease. Electric arm that the ball comes off his hand with a ton of pop. Throws well on the run with creativity. Extends plays and makes things happen downfield always keeping his eyes up. Sound mechanically with both his footwork and upper body. There is so much CJ Stroud to his game!

[player_tooltip player_id='426566' first='Trae' last='Taylor'] (Carmel)

The Nebraska commit threw for 3,061 passing yards, 20 passing touchdowns, and had 7 picks on 69% completion. He also ran for 437 yards and 5 rushing TDs. Long and fluid frame at 6'3" 180 pounds. More than capable runner when throw is not there, but make no mistake he is a passer first. Quick release in RPO game. Touch on deep ball is excellent. So mechanically sound with everything that he does. Sees the field and has sound mechanics along with footwork. Throws well over the middle and is very accurate with his ball placement.

[player_tooltip player_id='342339' first='Jameson' last='Purcell'] (Maine South)

Purcell is one of the best prospects in the state of Illinois. At 6'2" 185 pounds Purcell is a southpaw that has elite touch, timing, and accuracy. So accurate on intermediate and short routes. Gets the ball quick out of his hands. Throws well on the run going either way. Capable scrambler that can get a first down. Precise footwork and mechanics for a young QB. Throws an excellent deep ball. Legit three level thrower that levels it incredibly well. Advanced feel for the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='214234' first='Jayden' last='Ellington'] (Althoff)

Ellington is an absolutely electric athlete at 5'11" 165 pounds that was the leader at QB for the state champs at Althoff as a sophomore. The first thing that jumps out about Ellington is his ELITE speed. Like Mike Vick ability with the ball as a runner. It is insane. As a passer he is like a point guard back there making quick decisions and getting the ball out quickly usually to his first option. Excellent distributor that rips it on intermediate passes. Has touch on the deep ball particularly on the sideline. RPO game will be one of his biggest strengths going forward as an athletic QB. There might be some concerns with his size, but we believe he can be an impact QB at the next level. He does tell us that he will be playing some defensive back this upcoming season showing versatility.

[player_tooltip player_id='1598810' first='Reece' last='Shanklin'] (East St. Louis)

Shanklin was a back up for the Flyers this year that got a lot of time with blowout wins. Shanklin is a legit P4 QB with size and strength. Excellent footwork and pocket presence as a passer. Strong arm that he can deliver to all three levels. Touch on the deep ball. Takes what the defense gives him and distributes it quickly with consistent accuracy. Zip on intermediate routes. Like what he brings as a runner with his physicality. Also is a place kicker for the Flyers.

Michael Vander Luitgaren (Batavia)

This sophomore 6'2" 190 pound QB split time throughout the year, but in the state championship game he had a breakout performance saying he is the man at Batavia! Like the size, strength, and athleticism here. He has an above average arm with strength to throw the deep ball. Excellent mobility being able to extend plays with his legs while finding receivers downfield. Accurate passer that has zip on his passes and is a sound decision maker. Good mechanically with his best football ahead of him.
