2027 Player Rankings Update: Evaluation Scouting Notes, Part VIII

To the best of my knowledge, I know two things to be true when it comes to player rankings. First, Prep Redzone is the industry leader in state-by-state depth when it comes to rankings. Second, Prep Redzone New Jersey – specifically – is the unabashed leader in sharing our evaluation ranking notes.   In this series you will find our unedited, raw ranking notes for nearly 200 new additions to the class of 2027's final rankings. running back, big body that runs upright; chins and protects ball very well; rallies to the ball; vision to make a jump cut backside on zone plays when it is colllapsed; gets his boyd into position defensively to make plays, will u-turn after wrong arming - does not blow up that blocker; want to see him break down in the open field a bit more; gets hands on and extends when handling blockers in pass protection; have not seen many legit shed moves; can get displaced when on the line of scrimmage</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1476859' first='Justin' last='Rosato'] 5'9" 175 ATH Middletown South</td><td>runs behind pads, almost seems like he has to catch himself with his feet at times; chins the ball high and tight, almost proudly; returner, can take sideline; reads quick game on defense, will jump a route from covering the slot; good form-fitting tackler, can wrap scoop and dump a defender; has balance as a runner, does not get tripped up in the trenches; has a burst on defense when closing in on the quarterback or backfield; slot receiver, uses hand to catch; makes pressure cuts with ball in his hands to make defenders miss; will spin and leap out of danger; nifty, crafty, gritty player; much to like about him; can play either side of the ball in college</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='910152' first='Jyvon' last='Cooper'] 5'9" 197 RB Rahway</td><td>Carries the ball low; linebacker, hits and wrpas, but plays high; can get tripped up if you tackle him low; in and out of cuts not particularly quick; plays running back and linebacker with the same sort of style, very backyard, brawler type; physical, rough, and scrappy; aggressive in everything he does, keeps fighting for yardage and positoning; hard nosed player; cradles ball away from body does not protect it; pad leve will improve his game; hard to tell, but might be a good one-cut runner out of hte backfield; can adjust to the ball mid-flight; able to adjust to position his body between ball and defender near goal line; nifty runner, hard to describe exactly what he does well or what makes him effective;
