<p><strong>Will Torok, 2026, Tanque Verde - </strong>Despite the 41-7 loss to Phoenix Christian, Torok led the state in tackles in Week 0 finishing the game with 15.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1369419' first='Zayden' last='Cundiff'], LB, 2026, Florence – </strong>Cundiff was one of the leading tackler in the state during the 2024 season and continued his dominance in the first game of the 2025 season finishing with 14 total and two TFL in the 28-0 loss to Show Low. Expect him to be near the top of the stat sheet again as a senior.</p>

<p><strong>Karter Alexander, LB, 2027, Show Low – </strong>Alexander had an outstanding start to the season finishing week zero with 13 total tackles, 1 TFL, 1 sack, and 1 forced fumble in the 28-0 win over Florence.</p>

<p><strong>Bairyk Schulte, LB, 2026, San Tan Charter – </strong>Shulte racked up 3 sacks and a forced fumble with seven total tackles in the 48-7 win over Apache Junction. </p>

<p><strong>Connor Lowe, LB, 2028, Desert Star – </strong>In his first varsity action, the 2028 LB racked up 3 TFL, 2.5 sacks, and 8 total tackles in the 42-12 over Kingman Academy.</p>

<p><strong>Luka Swift, LB, 2027, San Carlos – </strong>Swift filled the stat sheet with 10 total tackles, 7 solo, 3 TFL, and 2 sacks, adding 4 hurries in the 42-8 Saint John Paul.</p>

<p>Six more players had two sacks including John Lokey (Ben Franklin), Malachi Madrid (Chandler Prep), Zander Behn (Blue Ridge), Jayden Sisonphou (San Pasqual), Christian Teeters (Willcox), Gio France (Pusch Ridge Christian)</p>

<p><strong>Hunter Donathan, LB, 2027, Thunderbird – </strong>The Thunderbird LB pulled in two interceptions including returning one for a touchdown and adding 69 total return yards.</p>

<p>10 players total had multiple interceptions in week zero including Anthony Dimas (Sabino), Abner Lopez (Heritage Academy), [player_tooltip player_id='1581502' first='Dominic' last='Hawkins'] (Saint John Paul), Jude House (Phoenix Christian), Dawson Judd (Benson), Isaiah Martinez (San Pasqual), Angelo Avina (Odyssey Institute), Orlaun Salas (Holbrook), Ryan Jones (Thatcher).</p>
