The top returning passer in 4A, Jameer Falls of Mason City threw for 1,599 yards and 13 touchdowns to just two interceptions last season. The junior will look to improve on those numbers this fall.

Slight of frame at just 5'10" and 140-pounds, Falls has a decent deep ball for his size. An accurate passer that can put it only where his receiver can get it (i.e. only two picks last year), Falls can hit a pass of about 30-40 yards. Assuming he's added strength and size this offseason, that should improve, leading to more long-ball touchdowns for the Mason City offense. Even now, he can put the ball on a rope. If Falls did indeed add weight to his frame this offseason, he should be more of a dual-threat QB, too.

He's a good decision maker in the RPO game as well, recognizing when to hand it off and when to pull the ball and hit an open receiver.

The No. 2 quarterback in the 2027 class, [player_tooltip player_id='1644900' first='Tru' last='McBride'] passed for 1,518 yards and 18 touchdowns last season as a sophomore. Standing at 6'3" and 210 pounds, McBride certainly has the best physical tools of any quarterback on this list, with some serious arm talent to go along with it.

McBride can make throws over the middle, fire passes to the sideline in the holes of a zone and sling it on the run. With a big wind-up of a release, McBride can tighten up his throwing motion a bit, and become a bit of a better decision-maker in the pass, but he's got the tools and two seasons left to make things happen. With leading receiver, [player_tooltip player_id='1619907' first='Tytrell' last='Mosley'] and Iowa PWO commit [player_tooltip player_id='1619976' first='Noah' last='Daniel'] returning next season, along with Oklahoma State wrestling commit, Dreshaun Ross back after missing last season due to shoulder surgery, expect McBride's numbers to go up big time this fall.

With interest from Iowa, Kansas State and a barrage of FCS programs, if McBride can cut down on the turnovers, he should easily find himself on a D1 roster following his high school career in Fort Dodge.

The first senior on this list, [player_tooltip player_id='1403015' first='Jayden' last='Fujii'] passed for 1,486 yards and ten touchdowns last season for Council Bluffs Jefferson.

Another smaller quarterback with a short release, Fujii is unique in his ability to run the ball. Second on his team in rushing production, opposing teams have to account for his ability to take off with the rock, too. Despite the short release and standing at just 5'10", Fujii can make some tough throws downfield and has good vision, finding open receivers.

The signal-caller for one of the more balanced teams in all of 4A, [player_tooltip player_id='1619687' first='Caden' last='Klein'] threw for 1,445 yards, as well as eight touchdowns last season. Along with Klein's passing numbers he led Newton in rushing, taking 128 carries for 1,126 yards and 14 scores.

An athlete that also plays defensive back for the Cardinals, he likely projects to DB at the next level. At quarterback though, he's lethal as a runner and can make opposing defenses pay with his arm if they creep up into the box to stop the run. With [player_tooltip player_id='1366537' first='Isaiah' last='Hansen'] in the backfield and expected to take another step forward his junior year, Newton has a chance to be dangerous offensively in 4A. In the option game, the pair could be really good at forcing defenses to decide on who to pursue, leading to large run plays by either of the talented prospects.

Like Klein, [player_tooltip player_id='1619815' first='Hudson' last='Shull'] of ADM is one of the premiere dual-threat quarterbacks in class 4A. Passing for 1,363 yards and 13 touchdowns, in addition to rushing for 1,168 yards and 18 scores on the ground last season for ADM.

A runner that's incredibly tough to bring down, Shull seemingly fights through all eleven would-be tacklers on some runs, escaping and finding his way to the endzone. On multiple occasions last season, Shull fought off two or more tacklers at the same time, slipping away and gaining more yards or scoring.

At the same time -- again, similar to Klein -- Shull can make opposing defenses pay by going over the top when they commit to the run. With his ability to tuck it and take off, ADM can almost always attack defenses either on the ground or through the air with their lefty QB.
