The Bobcats finished 8-2 last season and have 13 senior returning starters.

Basehor opens its season with a home game against league rival Leavenworth on September 5.

Here is a look at six of the key seniors, all of whom are currently in the Prep Redzone Class of 2026 rankings.

This report represents the first of multiple team and league previews to come in August.

[player_tooltip player_id='1113370' first='Carson' last='Dixon'], QB, 6'2”, 180

Leading the Bobcat offense is returning signal-caller Dixon. He is a dual-threat quarterback who finished his junior season, passing for 1,828 yards and 22 touchdowns. He has experience at the quarterback position and keeps his composure when under pressure. He threw just five interceptions last season, so he understands the value of the football. Dixon is currently ranked No. 65 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026.

[player_tooltip player_id='1114730' first='Nash' last='Morrison'], ATH, 6'0”, 170

Dixon's primary target in the offense with be speedy wideout Morrison. He caught 42 balls last season for 551 yards. The speedster found the end zone nine times. Morrison is ranked No. 84 overall by Prep Redzone Kansas.

[player_tooltip player_id='1113445' first='Nate' last='Martin'], TE, 6'3”, 215

One of my favorite players on the Bobcat roster is this senior linebacker. Miller is ranked No. 162 overall by Prep Redzone Kansas. He recorded 54 tackles last season for Basehor. He is tough as nails, also has great instincts, and a high football IQ. He plays with all gas and no breaks on the gridiron.

[player_tooltip player_id='1113477' first='Cole' last='Hofer'], DB, 6'1”, 170

Hofer is the leader in the defensive backfield for the Bobcats. He is ranked No. 150 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026. He collected one interception, two pass breakups, and 26 tackles during his junior season. He has quick feet, solid hands, and is not afraid to lay the wood to ball carriers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1114743' first='Roman' last='Miller'], TE, 6'3”, 200

Basehor's tight end is solid as a run-blocker and a weapon in the offense. Miller is ranked No. 162 overall by Prep Redzone Kansas. His size makes him a deadly red zone target. He made 18 receptions for 297 yards last season and caught two touchdowns. I look for him to play a much larger role in the offense this season, as the Bobcats lost their top rusher to graduation, and have lost some depth and experience at the wideout position.

[player_tooltip player_id='1310401' first='Eli' last='Stanton'], OL, 5'11”, 235

Stanton is the first of two ranked offensive linemen. He is ranked No. 234 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026. He has the size and quickness to play multiple positions on the trenches.

[player_tooltip player_id='1394781' first='Isaac' last='Renfro'], OL, 6'3”, 325

Renfro is ranked No. 271 overall by Prep Redzone Kansas. He is a quality pass blocker who can also seal the edge on run plays.

[player_tooltip player_id='1394779' first='Jacob' last='Sharp'], LB, 5'10”, 175

The Bobcats always have tough linebackers. They are usually a little undersized, but they play smart and disciplined football players. Sharp is ranked No. 416 overall by Prep Redzone Kansas. Sharp contributed in all defensive facets, recording 55 tackles, seven tackles for loss, two quarterback sacks, and two interceptions as a junior.

[player_tooltip player_id='1394777' first='Tucker' last='Hutchinson'], LB, 5'9”, 190

Hutchinson finished his junior season with 71 tackles, two TFLs, and 1.5 sacks. He is strong against the run and flows quickly to the ball. Hutchinson is ranked No. 421 overall by Prep Redzone Kansas.

The rest of the Bobcat returning senior starters include R.J. Madrigal (DL), Tyron Heffley (OL), Cooper Ingram (DL), and Noah Gutierrez (DB).
