The first two road games of the season are tricky. Cedar was at 4A classification last year, but they have key pieces returning and should be a tough out, then the very next week, they travel north to face Maple Mountain. They're in a transition year and these are two key road games for them. If they can take both, it sets them up for a good start to the season. The October 3, showdown with Desert Hills is important, as they have a bye week after to prepare for Crimson Cliffs. If they can win that, and come away healthy, they'll have an additional week to prepare for Crimson Cliffs.

2025 Hardest Games:

Friday, September 5- Timpanogos
Friday, October 17- at Crimson Cliffs

Two tough games here. They get Timpanogos at home, which will come in handy and then they end the season against Crimson Cliffs. Pine View is set up to potentially have a big season and could be a sneaky contender for the region.

2025 Outlook:

They're a team that could surpise this year. They have some key returning pieces and they have the best tight end in the state.

Key Players:

Shaw got good experience last year, and that'll set him up for the upcoming season. He has done well this offseason, and is processing at a faster clip, and is showing improved accuracy. His ball placement has been much better, and he is taking deep shots. He is primed for a big season.

Richardson was an effective runner last year, but was most valuable showcasing his versatility and effectiveness as a receiver out of the backfield. He is a three-down back and is a player who should get additional reps this year. He does a good job making defenders miss in a confined space, and his lateral quickness allows him to be effective as a receiver.

Harris is an elite athlete and is our 4th-ranked player for 2026 and the TE1. He has a great blend of size, speed, and physicality to his game. He is in the mold of a modern-day tight end. He's an athletic mismatch. He can be lined up out wide, in the slot, or as a traditional tight end. He is someone you can get in motion to get him moving presnap and let him create with the ball in his hands. He has exceptional footwork, creates separation with ease, and is strong at the catch point and will transition upfield with ease. He has a bright future and will be a multi-year Power Four starter.

Yocham is an athletic mover and a hybrid TE/H-back. He can be lined up anywhere on the field and is a mismatch. He moves well laterally, has good burst, showcases good hands, and has little wasted movement while getting upfield. He's an exciting athlete who is primed for a huge season.

Sorensen is a twitchy slot receiver who has good speed and is a dependable receiver who knows how to get open and to create in space and making defenders miss. He ran an improved route tree last year, and it'll be interesting if they continue his development as a speed stretch slot to help create spacing and become more of a deep threat that can take the top off the defense.

Moors was a key part of the defense last year and will be tasked to become one of the leaders on that side this year. He gained great experience last year, and that will pay itself forward. He has good tackling form, has good play strength, and is someone who is best moving forward, where he can roam and react.

Maya will be tasked to take over and be one of the leaders on the defensive line. There's a lot of production gone from a year ago, and he'll be looked at to take the next steps. He is good off the line and uses leverage to his advantage, he is able to disengage from his blocks and he has some good quickness to his game.
