North Marion is a dark horse team every year in the new Class AAA for competing deep into the playoffs. The Huskies made the championship game in 2023 and will be a pesky out for the other top teams in the classification come playoff time. They've got the size and athletes to compete for a Final Four spot, and should have another highly successful season.

2026 North Marion OL [player_tooltip player_id='1138208' first='Logan' last='Gump'] has been a mainstay on the Huskies' offensive line since his sophomore year. He's been at the top of the OL rankings since then and is a name that D2 programs should be targeting this fall. Gump has the feet to play tackle in high school, but would be an excellent guard in college. He's a mauling run blocker who finishes blocks and opens holes in the running game. Gump is a physical player with strength and power to consistently win at the point of attack.

2026 North Marion LB [player_tooltip player_id='1139400' first='Josh' last='Holden'] first made his name known in the 2023 state championship game as a sophomore, intercepting a pass, and has been a quality player for the Huskies since then. He has a big frame that can be further molded into a DE/EDGE player at the next level, which is likely where he translates best as a prospect. Holden led the Huskies in tackles as a junior with 118 total tackles and will return as a defensive leader. He's at his best getting downhill in run support from his middle linebacker spot as a tough, physical athlete.

Anchoring the Huskies' offensive line from his center or guard position again this season will be 2026 OL [player_tooltip player_id='1227635' first='Jacob' last='Freels']. He's not as big as some of the other athletes on their line, but Freels shouldn't be overlooked as a player.
One of the more promising early big men in the 2028 class to date is North Marion OL [player_tooltip player_id='1624409' first='Evan' last='Miller'].
"North Marion big man [player_tooltip player_id='1624409' first='Evan' last='Miller'] is going to be a name to know in the 2028 offensive line class moving forward. He was a freshman varsity starter for the Huskies last season and did some good things in year one. Miller has obvious size that colleges will love, and he moved well for his age and size. If he puts in the work in his development over the next three years, Miller could earn D1 looks in time with the potential he's shown to this point."

We're expecting 2028 North Marion RB [player_tooltip player_id='1311022' first='Brian' last='Poindexter Jr'] to have a big year for the Huskies, and he was on his way to doing so as a freshman before going down with an injury. He'll be ready to go again as a sophomore and should produce a big sophomore season if he can stay healthy. Poindexter Jr has dynamic playmaking ability out of the backfield as a quick and shifty scatback who can take it the distance any time he touches the ball. He's as effective laterally as he is getting vertical, which makes him a difficult task for defenses to contain."
