The University of Wisconsin-River Falls puts the "mega" in Mega Camp. The 2025 UWRF Minnesconsin Mega Camp was one of the fastest days of life, as 10+ hours of scouting flew by like it was a day at the amusement park when you're an elementary schooler, and with over 1,200 prospects from all around the world (yes, the world, thank you NFL Academy), PrepRedzone sent five different scouts to one of the Midwest's premier camps on the summer circuit. However, even with 10 eyes on the lookout for studs, you simply cannot even begin to try and see a quarter of the prospects you want to, but I was still happy with the names and faces that stood out at one of the nation's most "mega" mega camps, which kicked off with a memorable OL/DL session filled to the brim with Midwest beef and talent. Thanks again to Head Coach Matt Walker for having us, we love us some Falcon football. Your Midwest Scouting Director's linemen standouts are below!

--

Alpha: Owen Smith (Bigfoot, WI) 2026. DL. 6'5, 247 lbs.

The UWRF Minnesconsin Mega Camp's breakout star, biggest winner, and OL/DL, as well as overall, Alpha, goes to Bigfoot, Wisconsin's Owen Smith. A refrigerator of a rising senior who measured in that day at an impressive 6'5, 247 pounds with room to grow, Smith's name, physical stature & appearance, and athleticism circulated around the camp's coaches like a wildfire, creating a recruiting-storm that had every scholarship program in attendance scrambling to call home and get an early footing in what was sure to be a productive live exposure point and camp performance for the then-unknown (Bigfoot was 2-8 in '24, he just slipped through the cracks) DL and TE. South Dakota State and the home state Wisconsin Badgers were particularly enamored, and a large group of scholarship coaches continued to follow Smith around for the remainder of the Minnesconsin Mega Camp. After putting up elite athletic numbers during testing, highlighted by a 4.83 40 40, 4.49 pro-agility, 10'2 broad, and 31" vert, there couldn't be more hype surrounding Smith leading up to 1v1 padded competition.

It took PRzWI Lead Scout Mark Johnson and I a bit to find where Smith was located during 1v1s, but we managed to find him and sprint over in time to watch Smith's first rep, a ferocious board drill domination in which he exploded off the LOS with more bend and explosiveness than we're used to seeing from your average camper. It had the group of coaches in attendance clamoring, and he continued the physical dominance by wrecking his opponents - large OL and DL I may add - at the contact point and then tossing them aside like they were dirty laundry. The explosiveness and physicality off the snap, bend and flexibility at his size, and physical aggressiveness and superiority were outstanding and dare I say elite, and he had a good bag of pass-rushing moves that earned him one of the most overall dominant 1v1 competition showings of any prospect of the entire Minnesconsin Mega Camp. I saw Smith later during Session 2 playing TE and he had some juice as a route runner and pass catcher as well, with sticky hands, body control, and a huge catch radius, and I was surprised he left the camp without a D1 offer. It was one of the best camp showings I've seen in my time scouting professionally. Luckily, we got some recruiting news on Smith the day of this article's publishing, as he announced on Twitter that he committed to FCS and Missouri Valley heavyweight Illinois State to play his college football. Smith sure earned some money in River Falls, hearing from and receiving offers from nearly the entire NSIC after the camp as well. Great example of a camp szn winner coming out of the Badger State in 2025.

Owen Smith - Bigfoot, WI 2026

Offensive Line

Standouts

Henry Vallee (Franklin, WI) 2026. 6'4, 274 lbs.

Coming out of Madison-area talent-factory Franklin High School, Vallee was one of the best OL I saw at the 2025 UWRF Minnesconsin Mega Camp. I popped in and got a good look at Vallee during 1v1 pass rush reps, and he was more than up to the challenge against an athletic and dynamic group of pass rushers in his 1v1 group, earning tough wins against some athletically gifted DL from all around the world thanks to NFL Academy. Vallee, at a comfortable 6'4, 274 lbs., was simply stronger than the defensive linemen he faced, and his ability to get his hands on rushers and drop his anchor stopped the feet of DL at the point of attack, where Vallee's aggressive, mauling second-effort had DL on skates and usually onto their backs. The Franklin rising senior was one of the stronger finishes of his group and earned some hard-fought wins against high-quality competition. Once I got ahold of the testing numbers, a lot of Vallee's success began to make sense, as he popped off a strong showing during the opening portion of the UWRF Mega Camp, clocking a 5.28 40, 4.97 shuttle, 7'7 broad, and 25" vert at nearly 280 pounds. Get at this kid!

Henry Crumlett (Burlington Central, IL) 2026. 6'4, 266 lbs.

Burlington Central High School, led by North Central College alum and renowned Head Coach Brian Iossi, has been pumping out big, strong, and mobile OL at an impressive rate as of late, and the Rockets have a stud in 6'4, 266 lber. Henry Crumlett. Positionally versatile and physically flexible, Crumlett's combination of strength, technique, and balance helped him to be the standout OL of his 1v1 group, earning win after win against a talented crop of DL talent that included some big, long, and physically impressive international talent from the NFL Academy. Great hand usage and patient in his punch, effective anchor that he could drop post-contact, and laterally agile, Crumlett could handle both speed and power rushers with impressive ease and tenacity. Also had a strong showing during testing, popping off a 28.4" vert, 8' broad, and 4.83 shuttle at a lean 266 pounds, not to mention a 5.3 40.

[player_tooltip player_id='1602687' first='Aiden' last='Zapzalka'] (Minnetonka, MN) 2026. 6'1, 273 lbs.

One of my darlings of the 2026 class in Minnesota and my choice for the state's top offensive center, I was going into the Minnesconsin Mega Camp's 1v1 session without knowing who was who, and yet Minnetonka's athletic interior prospect still caught my eye during pass rush 1v1s. With an immovable base, Zapzalka was stonewalling DTs at the point of attack, and his heavy hands and pop were both audibly and visibly effective in padded competition. Also clocked a 4.72 shuttle, 7'6 broad, and 24.4" vert during testing. Whoever gets the Minnesota Big Schooler is getting a stud.

Zion Elliott (Mt. Carmel, IL) 2026. 6'4, 234 lbs.

Coming out of Chicago Catholic League powerhouse Mt. Carmel, one of the best football programs in the country, Elliott was oozing with upside, as he was a lean, long, and mean verified 6'4, 230+ with a ton of room to grow and fill in, and as expected from Caravan prospects, he had standout athleticism that really caught the eye on the testing sheets. Elliott popped off an impressive 5.14 40, 4.69 shuttle, 8'8 broad, and 29.2" vert to showcase some exciting athleticism for a rising senior OL prospect, and Elliott was also a tough, physical, active-handed OT who did a great job of battling explosive DEs on the LOS. Good technique, thrived at the contact point, and did a great job of staying square and staying engaged on a rusher throughout a rep. This dude's best football is in front of him and with early offers from Concordia-St. Paul, UW-River Falls, and Lake Forest College under his belt, I think it's safe to say he's very much under-the-radar right now.

[player_tooltip player_id='1210315' first='Brett' last='Kopp'] (Plum City-Elmwood, WI) 2026. 6'4, 305 lbs.

Another camp, another standout performance from 2025 summer camp szn winner [player_tooltip player_id='1210315' first='Brett' last='Kopp']. Coming out of the small school, D6 ranks of Wisconsin prep football, Kopp is a boulder of a 6'4, 300+ lber., with stovetop pans for hands, and a heckuva anchor that can absord and redistribute contact against even the biggest and baddest DL in attendance at the UW-River Minnesconsin Mega Camp. Kopp absolutely stuffed some talented rushers right in their tracks, and his balance through contact was impressive for his size. Heckuva summer camp circuit for Kopp in 2025!

[player_tooltip player_id='1524694' first='Yusif' last='Fofanah'] (Kimberly, WI) 2026. 6'5, 315 lbs.

I remember launching the PrepRedzoneWI site in 2019 not knowing very much about Wisconsin prep football, but from what I had gathered, I knew that Kimberly High School is the home to some freaks in the weight room. My introduction to that was Caleb Frazer (go look up his old squat videos), and I'm happy to see the modern continuation of this trend live and in the flesh in OG [player_tooltip player_id='1524694' first='Yusif' last='Fofanah']. The now-record-holder of the Kimberly High School squat record, Fofanah was a kid we were all itching to see during 1v1s, and he lived up to the hype, moving very well for a verified 6'5, 315+, exploding out of his stance, showing off foot speed, both laterally and in his pass set, and owning lead in his hands that he was throwing out with reckless abandonment during 1v1s. Also popped off a 4.81 shuttle, 7'4 broad, and 28" vert at 315 pounds.

https://twitter.com/YusifFofan70923/status/1897081645095874601

Mason Busse (McDonell Area Catholic, WI) 2026. 6'6, 275 lbs.

Busse came into the 2025 summer camp circuit very much under-the-radar, but after back-to-back strong camp showings at the UW-Madison Prospect Camp and UW-River Falls Minnesconsin Mega Camp, the secret is out. Busse, who was performing in front of the Bemidji State staff who would offer him after the camp, is a traitsy, toolsy, and long OT who, although raw, has the ability to absolutely shutdown the perimeter of the line of scrimmage. Busse did the best job of transferring and applying coaching in-real-time, and when he got his footwork right, neither speed, power, or bend could get past Busse's length and athleticism. To sweeten the pot, the Chippewa Falls native went 5.38 in the 40, 4.82 in the shuttle, 8'7 in the broad jump, 25" in the vertical. Sioux Falls, Southwest Minnesota State, Upper Iowa, UW-River Falls, Bemidji State, and MSU-Mankato have all offered this summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1546521' first='Parker' last='Murawski'] (Muskego, WI) 2026. 6'5, 289 lbs.

One of a loaded contingent of Muskego prospects to descend upon UW-River Falls for the annual Minnesconsin Mega Camp, Murawski was a no-doubt OL standout, as he looked fantastic in the reach drills against padded competition, and his get-off and ability to explode out of his stance, as well as move and set the edge fluidly, stood out far apart from his peers. Able to set his feet, drop his hips, and set a good base, I also liked Murawski's general physicality. Muskego makes them tough, as well as athletic, and Murawski fits both bills. Also popped off a 4.75 shuttle and 24" vert during testing.

[player_tooltip player_id='1220652' first='Ryan' last='Westrich'] (Bonduel, WI) 2026. 6'7, 258 lbs.

Usually competing/playing as a TE/DE, PRZ was very excited to see Bonduel's FBS-offered [player_tooltip player_id='1220652' first='Ryan' last='Westrich'] compete at OT for the first time at the UWRF 2025 Minnesconsin Mega Camp. Coming in with offers from Wyoming, Western Michigan, Army, Air Force, New Mexico, NDSU, Texas Tech, Central Michigan, and Northern Illinois, Westrich was arguably the most popular prospect in attendance, and he really showed why during positional drills and 1v1 competition, showing rare lateral agility and quickness for a legit 6'7er. Westrich's ability to successfully set the edge and complete reach blocks was the best of the entire Mega Camp, and his balance, physicality, and change of direction ability caught and held a lot of attention during the Minnesconsin event. Very excited to see where this kid ends up in college, both geographically and positionally.

[player_tooltip player_id='1620317' first='Brady' last='Moranski'] (Germantown, WI) 2027. 6'4, 229 lbs.

One of my favorite finds of the 2025 summer camp circuit, I didn't get to watch Germantown's [player_tooltip player_id='1620317' first='Brady' last='Moranski'] as much as I would have liked to during competition, but he's an agile, tough, and long 6'4, near 230 lber. with a ridiculous amount of room to grow in. With the feet and athleticism to play OT, Moranski is very bendy and can handle speed, twitch, and power rushes with equal effect.

[player_tooltip player_id='1412712' first='Sam' last='Schmidt'] (West DePere, WI) 2027. 6'6, 265 lbs.

Quite the eye-catcher coming out of West DePere High School! A First Team All-Eye Test winner and selection, Schmidt tested well for his size and age, going 5.38 in the 40, 4.86 in the shuttle, 7'8 in the broad, and 26" in the vertical, and he was nimble, fluid, and didn't waste movement for a mountain of a rising upperclassmen OT. I'll be keeping a close eye on Schmidt during the 2025 season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1665770' first='Matt' last='Popp'] (Lakeville North, MN) 2027. 6'7, 298 lbs.

Another First Team All-Eye Test selection, this was my first look at Lakeville North High School's mammoth of an OT [player_tooltip player_id='1665770' first='Matt' last='Popp'] in person, and he moved pretty well given the age and size combination. Popp also produced a 7'6 broad and 23" vert to showcase some athleticism, and although I didn't get to watch Popp as much as I'd have liked to, he sure has my attention and I'll be eagerly awaiting some updated film from the Minnesota Big Schooler.

[player_tooltip player_id='1228379' first='Carter' last='Gordon'] (Germantown, WI) 2027. 6'4, 297 lbs.

I'm not sure what's in the water in Germantown, but the Warhawks 2025 offensive line is a physically dominant, towering, road-grading bunch of hog mollies who I would not want to be on the receiving end of in the run game. Gordon, who is the Warhawks' center, was a new find for me, but his flexibility and bend at 6'4+ was impressive off the jump, and he looked agile, balanced, and controlled during indy and I loved watching him work with hands during a padded setting in positional drills. Need OL? Look to Germantown!

Defensive Line

Standouts

[player_tooltip player_id='1537111' first='Jaymel' last='Kalimu'] (Lakeville South, MN) 2026. 6'3. 249 lbs.

One of Minnesota's biggest winners on the summer camp circuit, Kalimu is ready to make some serious waves in the trenches of 6A football in 2025, and he's put on serious weight since the last time I saw him, which wasn't even that long ago as I saw him at an LOScrimmage event in the winter. Now a hulking 250ish pounds, Kalimu has gained good weight and has been able to retain his athleticism as explosiveness, and you could tell he was itching to put the new weight to use during 1v1s. Kalimu was throwing his weight around during padded competition, using a seemingly-unstoppable bull rush that paved his way to more wins then I could count. Heavy-handed, showed noticeable twitch for his size, and could win pass rush reps in a variety of ways. Kalimu also popped off an impressive 5.06 40 during testing to go along with a 4.62 shuttle, 8'1 broad, and 29.3" vert to blow the roof off the testing and overall highlight the work he's putting in this offseason and his potential value to a college suitor.

https://twitter.com/Jaykali777/status/1935554648296804720

Barney Short (NFL Academy) 2026. 6'7! 241 lbs.

One of the most physically impressive prospects I saw at the 2025 UW-River Falls Minnesconsin Mega Camp, NFL Academy product Barney Short is a prospect that D1 programs need to get aware of during the ongoing 2026 cycle. At a verified 6'7, 241+, Short popped off a 5.1 40, 4.78 shuttle, 8'3 broad, and 26" vert during testing to really emphasize some high-level tools & traits at his size, and his length and athleticism were simply overwhelming at the point of attack against OTs during 1v1s. With long arms, active hands, and intention in his pass rush moves, which included some lateral agility and body control, Short flashed upside that was unmatched from day of scouting Session 1's OL and DL. DII Minot State smartly reached out after the UWRF Mega Camp.

Jonas Kanyanga (NFL Academy) 2026. 6'6, 249 lbs.

The best performing of the ultra-impressive contingent of linemen the NFL Academy sent to Western Wisconsin for the 2025 UWRF Minnesconsin Mega Camp, Kanyanga recently committed to play D1 FCS offer at Northern Arizona, but PrepRedzone got to see Kanyanga perform as an uncommitted future rising star who lit up the UWRF Mega Camp during 1v1 pass rush reps. Long, explosive, and with the ability to bend at the top of the arc, Kanyanga also had some loose hips and a technically-sound toolkit he used to embarrass OTs all 1v1 session long. NAU got a stud!

John Rabet (Manitoba, Canada/St. Thomas More, CT) 2026. 6'4, 263 lbs.

If you are a consistent reader of PRZ's Upper Midwest content, you'll remember Canadian and RecruitReady product John Rabet from my University of North Dakota Flagship Camp recap, who was the biggest eye-catcher of the camp who unfortunately tweaked a hammy during what was looking like a magnificent testing performance. Lucky for us, we got to see Rabet back healthy at the 2025 Minnesconsin Mega Camp, and boy oh boy did he deliver. At one of the leanest 260+ pounds I've seen as a scout, Rabet popped off an eye-boggling, P4-worthy testing performance, highlighted by a 4.9 40, 4.56 shuttle, 9'6 broad, and 35" vertical for arguably the top testing performance of any individual prospect at the UWRF Mega Camp, which included Top 5 finishes in the broad jump, pro-agility, and vertical, and he knew how to use it during 1v1s as well. Rabet, who holds offers from the likes of UNLV, Monmouth, SEMO, Tennessee-Martin, Stonehill College, and Albany, was twitched up and then some, displayed active, strong hand usage, and the ability to go speed-to-power as effectively as an prospect in River Falls that day.

https://twitter.com/rabet_john/status/1935913300883112356

Kannon Kinsella (Roncalli, WI) 2026. 6'3, 238 lbs.

One of my favorite finds from the loaded 2025 UW-River Falls Minnesconsin Mega Camp, Manitowoc, Wisconsin and Roncalli High School product Kannon Kinsella was an eye-catcher with the game to match, as he was tough to miss thanks to his 6'3, 240 lb. build, cowboy collar, exposed back plate, and overall swagged out demeanor. You can come out looking like a dude when you having the athleticism to match Kinsella's size as well, as he tested at an eye-popping 5.0 40, 4.81 shuttle, 8'3 broad, and 33" vert at a verified 6'3, 238+ with room to grow. A two-way All-Region pick out of the Badger State, Kinsella intentional and effective hand usage had the bull of a DL earning 1v1 wins like he was working against a sled, and was impressed by Kinsella's ability to unlock his hips and go speed to power with lethal effect. No offers right now, talk about a sleeper!

Honorable Mentions

Quentin Totzke (Wausau West, WI) 2026. 6'3, 227 lbs.

Lot of talent in Wausau, and Totzke, who has already earned some camp recognition this summer from fellow Upper Midwest senior scout [player_tooltip player_id='1292716' first='Nate' last='Wahl'] at the South Dakota State camp, caught my eye as a DL during 1v1s. Totzke, who clocked a 4.65 shuttle and 8'1" broad at a verified 6'3, beat some talented OTs thanks to his twitch, and he was dangerous to either shoulder for tackles in their pass set.

Felician Weissensel (NFL Academy) 2026. 6'5, 243 lbs.

One of a group of borderline-freaky NFL Academy products who came into River Falls ready to make some noise, Weissenesel was a certified eye-catcher at a verified 6'5, 243 with a 6'6 wingspan and significant room to fill in. Weissenesel looked far from new to the game of football and rushing the passer, as I saw him win with length, twitch, and power. He showed a long arm, nasty jab step, and effective bull rush that had OTs on their heels. Could potentially play 3T or 5T at the next level. Minot State and UW-River Falls both smartly offered after the Minnesconsin Mega Camp. Lot of knowns still, but the upside is hard to beat from any of the hundreds of linemen participating in Session 1.

Meshach Arthur (NFL Academy) 2026. 6'4, 238 lbs.

Another eye-catching athlete with some serious twitch and explosiveness in his game, Arthur popped off a 4.6 shuttle, 8'7 broad, and 27" vert at nearly 240 pounds, and he did a great job of transitioning the athleticism to competition. As a standup EDGE, Arthur's get-off, flexibility, and impressive twitch had OTs guessing, and usually guessing wrong, helping the NFL Academy product to more than his fair share of wins during the 2025 UWRF Mega Camp's 1v1 reps. The international product earned himself some money at the Minnesoconsin Mega Camp as well, as NSIC competitors Minot State and Northern State both reached out with offers after the camp.

[player_tooltip player_id='1688581' first='Nick' last='Gallagher'] (Monona Grove, WI) 2026. 6'2, 240 lbs.

I got to watch Monona Grove rising senior DL Gallagher during the board drill, where his bend, explosive first step and get-off, and initial pop created one of the best 1v1 showings of any DL during the straight-forward, North-South, pad-popping competition. Also added a 5.03 40, 4.56 shuttle, 8'3 broad, and 28.2" vert during testing.

[player_tooltip player_id='1136674' first='Deacon' last='Ward'] (Greendale, WI) 2026. 6'3, 231 lbs.

I really saw myself growing more and more impressed with Greendale DE [player_tooltip player_id='1136674' first='Deacon' last='Ward'] as I watched him during indy and the board drill 1v1s, as his frame, massive feet, length, and heavy hands produced both initial results as well as thoughts of upside and a successful long-term projection into the college ranks. Bendy, physical, no problem winning reps as the low man, and a ton of room to fill in.

[player_tooltip player_id='1602672' first='Kyson' last='Arndt'] (Minneota, MN) 2026. 6'5, 219 lbs.

One of the best-kept secrets in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, Class A DE [player_tooltip player_id='1602672' first='Kyson' last='Arndt'] is a smooth operator, and I've loved getting to watch him work this offseason as the MN small-schooler has created some big exposure, especially on the camp trail. With D1-worthy testing numbers, including a 4.85 40, 4.7 shuttle, 9'4 broad, and 32" vert at a verified 6'5, nearly 220, and watching him change direction and cut laterally is a sight for sore eyes, as Arndt is fluid, twitchy, and shows noticeable burst out of his cuts. Additionally, his hand placement and ability to beat OTs to either shoulder helped him produce a good showing during 1v1 competition. Four NSIC heavyweights are already involved for the MN 2026 Top 50 prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='348673' first='Josh' last='Bergan'] (Lakeville South, MN) 2026. 6'1, 249 lbs.

Another Lakeville South Cougar representing the Minnesota Big School ranks well at the 2025 UW-River Falls Minnesconsin Mega Camp, [player_tooltip player_id='348673' first='Josh' last='Bergan'] is having a strong offseason and got to show off his hard work over the border this month. Highlighting his explosiveness with a 8'3 broad and 29" vert during testing, Bergan was quick to play the hands of opposing offensive linemen, showed some noticeable quickness, and earned the majority of his 1v1s thanks to his get-off, hand usage, and lateral agility. Should be a big season for Bergan in 2025!

Johannes Mager (NFL Academy) 2026. 6'4, 250 lbs.

One of my favorite prospects from the talent-rich group of OL/DL the NFL Academy sent to River Falls for the massive 2025 Minnesconsin Mega Camp, Mager, at a verified 6'4, 250+, performed well during every portion of Session 1 of the camp, going 4.78 in the shuttle, 8'5 in the broad jump, and 28" in the vert, and his length, strength at the point of attack, lethal first step, and overall hustle/effort had me imagining him doing very well in a collegiate football program. Fun-to-watch performance from the DE originally from England. UW-River Falls and Minot State offered up after the camp as well!

https://twitter.com/Johannes_Mager/status/1935508916080619610

--
