The highly-touted senior has put on size this offseason and spent time working out at OL during some camps. The quick get-off and power have helped Ryan get in the backfield a ton already, so with another 15 lbs on his frame we could see the small school stud take his impact to the next level.

It seemed like the standout athlete from Bonduel was making plays as an OL and a DL. From I saw it looked like big time prospect was taking reps on both sides, which was awesome to see as he has spent his career as a DE/TE so far. It was also great to see that Ryan is now up to 6’7″ 260 lbs, and his frame looks like it is ready to continue to pack on the size. Seeing him working on OL has me even more of a fan of him now and of what his potential ceiling is. Comparing his traits to the OL position, Ryan has outstanding size and length. His mobility, flexibility, and overall athleticism to be able to reach or get into position to win the leverage battle would be at the top of the charts. The stud ’26 also really impressed me with his ability to play low to the ground and win the leverage battle despite the massive frame. The Bonduel product had a lot of staffs following him around and watching his 1v1 group. Bigger and bigger things coming his way.

The kid has been dominating on the DL for several seasons now, and his play at TE has been steadily improving at a rapid rate too. On defense Ryan is such a mismatch. Whether it is the elite length, or the explosive first step and huge strides, or the power he can create on contact, Ryan is able to win so many ways. Then on offense he towers over defenders and easily keeps them away from the ball with his body at the catch. The junior has become very improved in his route running as well. The FBS level recruit is an impressive talent on both sides of the ball.

One of the best overall players returning to the field in 2025 is also one of the most productive at his job. Ryan finished tied for 8th with 11 sacks in 2024, and that is the 4th most among returning athletes. The FBS recruit has made huge strides in 2024. It is clear that the junior has grown into his elite frame as his first step was far more explosive this past season. Plus his use of leverage was so effective. On tape you will see him be able to get hands on and shed the block or bull rush while the opposing OL can’t even reach Ryan’s frame. The kid has special tools that are translating to the field. Big things are ahead for this kid.

Ryan isn’t just the best small school prospect in the state. He is one of the overall best prospects in the state. The top DL/TE is an unfair matchup on Friday nights. Especially with the leap in body control and flexibility that he made between his sophomore and junior seasons. The ’24 tape shows a kid with elite size that is now able to dominate with that frame and power, but also further utilize leverage and angles and positioning to make himself even more of a nightmare to cover or slow down. The Bonduel product has the talent to play TE or DE at the next level, and he already holds several FBS and FCS offers. Big things are ahead for this small school stud.

His elite length and power make it easy for him to drive OTs off the line and then disengage when he gets near the ball carrier. His long strides allow him to get to the depth of the ball in the backfield so quickly and he has the body control to be able to stop, move laterally, or cut to the football. Ryan is an exciting prospect because he wins so consistently with raw power and natural gifts. As he learns more of the technique of the position he could take a massive leap.
