To say the least, there was a plethora of talent to watch all day at the third annual UWRF Minnesconsin MEGA Camp, which saw over 1500+ athletes in attendance all day long and it all started in the trenches to start, with the offensive line and defensive line. This might be even in my first part, the deepest group we have ever uncovered especially geographically. Of course we have plenty of Wisconsin and Minnesota OL/DLs but the international talent was excellent from this Part I grouping with prospects from Canadian, England, and Germany as well. It took over 2500 words to log this first group as it was a very deep one to cover in River Falls, as we brought five scouts in attendance to try to uncover as much talent as we could!

Offensive Linemen

[player_tooltip player_id='1608287' first='Henry' last='Malloy'], OL, Cretin-Derham Hall, MN 2026 Twitter

This is now the second time this summer that Henry has caught my attention at a significantly large prospect camp, first at SDSU and now at the Minnesconsin MEGA Camp. He's is one that has gotten more polished in his live reps this summer as Henry continued to intrigue me with his great pad-level and balanced extension in the couple reps I watched out of the CDH 2026 offensive linemen. The explosiveness has also improved for Henry this summer posting a vertical jump over 25 inches which is solid for an offensive linemen that is a verified 6'4 nearly 270 pounder. Another one that the Falcons offered after camp after getting an NSIC offer earlier in the summer.

Zach Mason, OL, Prairie Ridge, IL 2026 Twitter

A new Illinois name that I added to my radar in River Falls, was Zach Mason of Prairie Ridge in the 2026 class. The 6'4 nearly 250 pounder, vertical jumped nearly 28 inches which is an absurd number for that size that he checked in at in River Falls. I didn't get to watch as many reps from Zach as I wanted to after seeing that number, but the couple reps I did I was impressed with how twitchy he was off the snap and showed off the quick hands and drive blocking ability that matched the quick tape I was able to find and there certainly was more explosiveness from Zach in River Falls than what I saw out of his 2024 season. A 2026 sleeper in my eyes out of the far NW Chicago suburbs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1412712' first='Sam' last='Schmidt'], OL, West De Pere, WI 2027 Twitter

Not one, not two, but three PRZ scouts caught the attention of 2027 offensive linemen [player_tooltip player_id='1412712' first='Sam' last='Schmidt'] out of West De Pere at the UWRF Minnesconsin MEGA Camp and clearly college coaches have too, as SDSU was the first to offer Sam after his camp performance. I don't think I saw more smooth footwork form any 2027 prospect in attendance more than I saw from Sam in the bulk of reps I watched from this young man. Not only was the footwork he showed off smooth, the 6'6 265 pounder was also agile with his movement from what I grasped and was very efficient especially with his reps in pass-pro that I watched in River Falls. He shows off the quick hands and long reach that Division I coaches are going to want to get on their radar with an offer sooner rather than later!

[player_tooltip player_id='1220652' first='Ryan' last='Westrich'], OL, Bonduel, WI 2026 Twitter

Ryan was surely a 2026 name I had pre-circle prior to the UWRF Minnesconsin MEGA Camp, and actually came in bigger than his pre-camp measurables, which is always a big bright side in the live eval process at camps. The 6'7 (!) nearly 260 pounder might have played a newer position in River Falls, but that didn't phase out the pure athleticism we have known this young man has at his disposal. Ryan showed off excellent quickness that I could see why could translate to offensive tackle based on the live reps I got to watch. You could not miss on how balanced this young man from Bonduel was with his footwork as from my eyes he played the offensive line position like he had played it for years, which is a contribution to Ryan's high football IQ. With several D1 offers from all over the country, there is no doubt that whoever lands this young man is getting a special talent coming out of Bonduel (which might I add, has my favorite Kwik Trip stop on the way to my mom's side of the family). I always say, anytime you can impress muliple scouts at a MEGA Camp, you are surely a top-tier prospect that everyone needs to know like Ryan is.

[player_tooltip player_id='1226967' first='Aidan' last='Bauers'], OL, Lakeland Union, WI 2027 Twitter

A new Wisconsin name that I consistently got on my radar for his live reps in River Falls, came from [player_tooltip player_id='1226967' first='Aidan' last='Bauers'] of Lakeland Union (Minocqua) in the 2027 class. I have to emphasize how much I loved watching this young man's hands in the reps I watched, as he possessed the "nasty" physical hands that I love watching in the trenches and did so with great powering strength too that was very consistent. Aidan also showed off excellent hand placement for a 2027 prospect and I loved the anchor he showed off when the bul-rushes came his way on numerous reps. It's take a lot to standout at a MEGA Camp, but Aidan had one particular rep that I was away from, that caught my attention from a far even after the fact of being impressed with his intial reps I watched already. I can tell why too Aidan was named a captain as a sophomore, as it's evident after watching Aidan at UWRF and later at NDSU, that this young man has excellent character that will take him far once he gets to the next-level. Surely a 2027 OL from the Northwoods to get on your radars early.

[player_tooltip player_id='1648573' first='Jackson' last='Staab'], OL, Lakeview, MN 2026 Twitter

Another Minnesota 2026 prospect on this list that I have graded as a sleeper in this class, is [player_tooltip player_id='1648573' first='Jackson' last='Staab'] out of Lakeview who showed off some promising reps at the UWRF Minnesconsin MEGA Camp. The 6'2 306 pounder, had a vertical jump of 26 inches and posted what I would consider ideal testing numbers to play at the next-level in the offensive trenches. Jackson showed off well-versed lateral movement in the reps I was able to watch in River Falls and was a prospect that I could tell got better from rep one to his last rep in what I watched. He also showed off promising upside with room to improve his quickness but yet carried the balanced pad-level during the reps I was able to watch. He surely would be a good NAIA or local D2 fit in my eyes in this 2026 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='1210315' first='Brett' last='Kopp'], OL, Plum City, WI 2026 Twitter

If there was an offensive linemen that I felt developed nicely at nearly every camp I was in attendance at the last couple weeks it was certainly [player_tooltip player_id='1210315' first='Brett' last='Kopp'] from Plum City. In the live reps I watched from Brett in River Falls, I saw even more balance than I saw the week before when it came down to watching his footwork closely. At every camp, I have grasped that Brett is very coachable athlete and that was evident watching him at the UWRF Minnesconsin MEGA Camp. I felt like he improved his wide base, which lead to more downhill drive blocking strength at the point of attack. Brett is surely a 2026 offensive linemen prospect that we have as a camp stockriser in Wisconsin, but aside from that I have grasped how much I love this young man's character and how it could translate in a locker room at the next-level. He's gone from just one D3 offer to now eight total offers since the middle of June as I feel the NSIC is going to have to fight over this young man!

Defensive Linemen

[player_tooltip player_id='924235' first='Laren' last='Kelly'], DL/OL, Mankato West, MN 2026 Twitter

The first name that hit my notebook in River Falls was [player_tooltip player_id='924235' first='Laren' last='Kelly'] of Mankato West in the 2026 class. The 6'3 nearly 250 pounder from the Scarlets flashed with his suddenness off the snap as I could tell he's added more quickness since the 2024 season ended as that was evident in the live eval. Laren has the position flexibility to play on either side of the trenches in my eyes as I can gauge the upside might be higher as a defensive tackle, but is one that intrigued the UWRF staff, as they came in with his first offer after camp.

Jaxson Fury, DL, St. Paul's Academy, MB 2028 Twitter

The first Canadian 2026 that caught my attention in River Falls was defensive end Jaxon Fury out of St. Paul's Academy out of Winnipeg, and of course is another name from my good friends over at Recruit Ready. The 6'2 225 pounder showed off progressive change of direction in the pro agility recording a 4.81, which is excellent for that size. During the 1v1 reps, he showed off some nasty speed and hands with his outside move. He also showed off that even slightly off balance he could still crush another rep with those physical hands and placement, getting an another win win his inside move which I love to see the plethora of moves at Jaxson's disposal. Why this young man does not have an offer yet really is shocking in my eyes, as there was a mountain of college coaches too watching his reps to see.

[player_tooltip player_id='1692942' first='Gavin' last='Frega'], DL, Appleton North, WI 2027 Twitter

The first 2027 prospect that caught my attention on the afternoon in River Falls, came from Appleton North's [player_tooltip player_id='1692942' first='Gavin' last='Frega']. The 6'0 nearly 216 pounder caught my attention first in the pro agility, in which he ran in the low 4.7s as a DL prospect that has good wiggle room to grow out his frame in the coming years. He showed off good and growing balance with the footwork drills I watched, and was a DL prospect during 1v1s that I felt the reps got better the more he got going as he showed off a good pad-level and fluid get off especially with his inside move. Surely a 2027 to watch develop in this Wisconsin class.

Daniel Schlemmer-Taberner, DL, Gridiron Imports 2027 Twitter

There was plenty of international talent in attendance from the NFL Academy that I logged in my notebook, and the first one that caught my attention was Daniel Schlemmer-Taberner out of London. Talk about a young man that showed off the explosive traits with his hands as the reps I watched out of Daniel showed off not only the explosiveness, but one that was wirey with utilzing all his length at his disposal. Daniel also showed off a work-horse type motor with his reps in River Falls, as rep after rep, you never saw one ounce of quit with his explosiveness he offers. Daniel is certainly a 2027 prospect that has caught waves at camps around the Midwest and is one I will continue to track from the NFL Academy.

Caleb Hein, DL, Musekgo, WI 2026 Twitter

A 2026 name that has started to pick up some steam this summer and caught numerous PRZ eyes in the last couple of camps in June, is Caleb Hein out of Muskego. The 6'3 240 pounder, ran a 4.6 pro agility in River Falls which is very impressive for that size. The live reps I was able to watch from Caleb showed off that COD he has well, as he showed off a couple impressive quick releases as I liked his ability to improvise with his twitch showing off a well-versed inside move. His hands kept catching my attention during the live reps as well, as there was plenty of feisty maneuvers that he showed off to plenty of college coaches in the reps I watched. Caleb is one I wouldn't be surprised to see some D2 attention come his way in the coming months.

Johannes Mager, DL, NFL Academy, 2026 Twitter

Another defensive linemen from the NFL Academy that caught my attention in the 2026 class in River Falls was Johannes Mager. The verified 6'4 250 pounder from Germany, showed off all the athletic fluidity you could want when you watched his pass-rush reps which might I add intrigued a few college coaches to throw him an offer in River Falls from the D2 and D3 levels. Johannes was a defensive linemen that in my eyes, seemed to get better on every rep I watched in River Falls as there was also noticable length and wirey hands that he utilized during it seemed like every rep. This young man has made waves during his US Camp Tour, logging nearly five offers this June at all three levels.

John Rabet, EDGE, Manitoba, Canada/St. Thomas More, CT 2026 Twitter

We got a glmpse of John at the UND Flagship Camp on 6/12, but were enlightened to get a full live-eval of what he brought to the table at the UWRF Minnesconsin MEGA Camp the following week. He erupted during testing, posting the top vertical (34.9) of the entire DL/OL group in River Falls and that certainly wasn't all he showed off in his live evaluation. He surely in my eyes had the best twitch I saw off the snap during pass rush reps, and watching his hands get off blocks looked to be darn near textbook, with high intensity, speed, and tons of finesse and that was very consistent on all of the reps I watched out of John during the Minnesconsin MEGA Camp. John has a bunch of D1 offers already, but man I am surprised he doesn't have more FBS attention as what I saw in River Falls surely looked like a sure-fire FBS target.

[player_tooltip player_id='1651659' first='Jacob' last='Gieseke'], DL, Providence Academy, MN 2027

The first underclassmen to hit my notebook out of Minnesota was [player_tooltip player_id='1651659' first='Jacob' last='Gieseke'] coming out of Providence Academy. One of a couple Providence Academy defensive linemen that intrigue me in this 2027 class, this was my first look at what Jacob could bring to the table in River Falls. He intrigued me with how balanced he was with his lateral movement for his age and size, as the 6'2 241 pounder also showed off the explosive traits that are there for the taking with his vertical jump landing over 26 inches. It looks to me the Lions are in good hands in the trenches as hopefully I can get another live eval from Jacob during the 2025 season.

Noah Heppener, DL, Spring Grove, MN 2026 Twitter

A new name to my Outstate Minnesota radar in the defensive line group was Noah Heppener out of Spring Grove in the 2026 class, as a prospect I wish I would have gotten to watch more of his reps. The 6'2 nearly 233 pounder was off the eye test, flying with fluidity and athleticism in the 40-yard dash which in the end was true, with a 5.01 which is great at that size. He went 8'6 in the broad jump and the most eye-catching number in testing, was the 29.5 inch vertical he jumped to further show off his explosive traits. In the light reps I was able to watch, Noah showed off that consistent fluidity, and light hands off his sheds. He certainly is a big time sleeper out of Spring Grove in my eyes.
