Speaking of D1 potential, [player_tooltip player_id='1345172' first='Jarrett' last='Martin'] of 3A Banks has a chance to be Oregon's POY at that level. He could climb this list quick along with his teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1112475' first='Cole' last='Wilson'] who was recently named the MVP at the Eastern Washington Camp.

A few offensive lineman who scouts will be watching closely include 6-5 300-pound Tackle [player_tooltip player_id='1311538' first='Zachery' last='Bridges'] of Sandy who earned 1st team all Mt Hood honors as a sophomore. [player_tooltip player_id='914284' first='Gavyn' last='Welch'] is another kid with size who comes from a talented family and has legit potential.

On the defensive front there are a couple big men to make note of. 6-5 290-pound D Tackle [player_tooltip player_id='1660153' first='Abraham' last='Zhyryada'] of Nelson looks the part and will have plenty of eyes on him this season. [player_tooltip player_id='1341253' first='Cody' last='Calvert'] was a standout on both sides of the ball as a junior and will return after earning 5A 1st team all-state honors for Mountain View of Bend. He could be Oregon's lineman of the year per his classification. Last but not least [player_tooltip player_id='1110925' first='Alexander' last='Esuk'] who is a little bit undersized for the position but an absolute monster in the trenches. Look for him to be in the conversation for Metro League D lineman of the year honors.

From an LB standpoint there are a bunch of intriguing kids who rank among the best in Oregon. [player_tooltip player_id='1585714' first='Jackson' last='Skinner'] of Marist who will be a 4A POY favorite for the reigning state champs, and [player_tooltip player_id='1629314' first='Jacob' last='Gorman'] of Jesuit who had an unreal junior year but has gone somewhat under the radar on the recruiting front. He's got legit potential at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1059015' first='Justin' last='Craigwell'] of Lake Oswego returns after earning 1st team all-state LB honors last season. From a pure talent standpoint, he's one of the top defenders in Oregon. It's just a size thing if we are talking projection. [player_tooltip player_id='402414' first='Kalani' last='Messenger'] is another one from across town at Lakeridge who is a sleeper at linebacker.

If Southern Oregon had an MVP this coming season it might be [player_tooltip player_id='770005' first='Makana' last='Brown'] of South Medford. He's done what's best for his team and played the QB spot because he's typically the best athlete on the field. That being said he's a phenomenal WLB/SS type and could do well collegiately at those positions.

If we are talking individuals who will excel at the skill positions, there are a handful to highlight. WR [player_tooltip player_id='770007' first='Logan' last='Uitto'] of Silverton had an outstanding junior year and MVP'd the PRZ event this spring. [player_tooltip player_id='1566148' first='Sean' last='Gerigk'] of Mountainside continues to climb the charts and will be one of Oregon's top slot receivers. Also don't sleep on [player_tooltip player_id='769997' first='Talen' last='Williams'] of 5A Crook County. He makes the move from South Salem after a few impressive years early on.

We've talked a lot about [player_tooltip player_id='914315' first='Corinthian' last='Littleton'] of Parkrose who could single handily keep the Broncos in ball games. Another athlete you have to like a lot is [player_tooltip player_id='1232759' first='Cameron' last='Gilhuber'] of Sheldon. He has had a phenomenal off season and could be the best DB in the South-Central Conference.

A few other defensive backs worthy of recognition include the very versatile 6-3 [player_tooltip player_id='1585702' first='Jaiden' last='Robinson'], who makes the move from Barlow to Central Catholic, after earning 2nd team all Mt Hood accolades last year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1667982' first='Reece' last='Underwood'] has become PRZ famous and is a good-looking athlete that will have a lot of eyes on him at Safety, along with [player_tooltip player_id='1232760' first='Kai' last='Franco'] of Mountainside who continues to climb the rankings board.

Other conference POY candidates include QB/ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1110920' first='Parker' last='Sellner'] of Newberg who we've talked about a lot recently being one of the state's biggest sleepers. [player_tooltip player_id='402410' first='Isaac' last='Reynoso'] of Glencoe has D1 genes and will be a heavy favorite for MVP honors within his league.

Two other unquestioned top guys include [player_tooltip player_id='759688' first='Lukas' last='Babbitt'] of Churchill, who was the Midwestern League Defensive POY last year and could be a 5A 1st team all-state selection on both sides of the football this season. [player_tooltip player_id='914314' first='Deryk' last='Farmer'] as referenced looks like the real deal and will be a 3A POY favorite.

It starts with [player_tooltip player_id='914302' first='Robbie' last='Long'] if we are talking QB's who have a shot at playing at a high level. The basketball standout has the potential of being a top 20 athlete statewide. That said as he will have to surpass [player_tooltip player_id='402407' first='Dylan' last='Brower'] of Clackamas, who is deserving of praise, and returns after earning 1st team all Mt Hood honors last season.

In conclusion there are numerous other athletes who we could talk about here and will in future breakdowns.
