Standouts From MSSU College Prospect Camp.

I received a great opportunity to evaluate the talent at the MSSU college prospect camp. Not only did the athletes deliver, but Coach Bradley and his coaching staff did a remarkable job of putting on a great camp. I would like to thank Coach Bradley for the opportunity.   These six young athletes separated themselves from start to finish and really got my attention throughout camp.    Collins turned heads at the MSSU football camp.   Collins might have had the best performance out of all the athletes in attendance in Joplin, Missouri. He performed flawlessly in every single drill conducted by Coach Bradley in his coaching staff. He put up great numbers in his 5-10-5 shuttle, displaying great change of direction. But when it was time to show his chops in route running, he shined the brightest.   During the live 1-on-1 period, unless I missed a rep, I don't believe Collins lost a battle. Collins was magnificent; he showed the ability to run short, medium, and long routes with great precision.   Collins is going into his junior season, and he is just picking up steam. I expect him to be regarded as one of the top receiving threats in Missouri the next two years in high school football.     I'm already a fan [player_tooltip player_id='1167839' first='Tristin' last='Coon'], and the young man keeps delivering.   I've had the pleasure of being in attendance to watch Coon perform in two different camps this summer. In both of those camps, he was among the most consistent out of the group of young passers in each camp. Coon shows up and just works his tail off in everything you ask him to do. The MSSU coaching staff made every attendee do drills on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball and that seemed to be no problem for coon, as he put great numbers in the testing period, as well as the agility drills.   But when it was time to put a football in his hands and let it rip Coon stood out among the best. When coon gets his feet set and gets comfortable, he is a lot of fun to watch this young man go to work.       Mccray was smooth in every drill at camp.   Mccray is another well-rounded athletic football player. He's listed as an athlete, and for good reason because he is an all-around good football player. During MSSU football camp, Dyvair Mccray made every drill look a little bit too easy. He flew through the gauntlet drill, showing super-fast reflexes to get his head turned around and hands up to catch the football.   He tested among the top in the 5-10-5 shuttle on top of winning most of his battles in the 1-on-1 period. I have to admit I wasn't familiar with Mccray, being as though he plays football in Kansas, but after last weekend he made me a big fan.     [player_tooltip player_id='1694450' first='Orlando' last='Williams'] is a big time athlete from Jenks, Oklahoma.   Every football coach in America has a spot on his team for a player who is going to give you maximum effort. [player_tooltip player_id='1694450' first='Orlando' last='Williams'] had the best motor out of anyone in attendance. He worked his tail off in every drill conducted, and all the coaches noticed how much hard work he was putting in on the football field.   He tested among the top in the 5-10-5 shuttle among defensive linemen, as well as having a good broad jump. When it was time to stick his hand in the dirt and get the party started, he was happy to do so. He showed off his bag of pass-rushing moves and regularly found himself finding the Quarterback.     A super quick and twitchy athlete from Columbia, Missour,i is Quinton Brown.   Brown moved so well in these agility drills that when it was time for me to have a chat with the young man, I had to ask him what position he played. Brown stands at 6'2 190 pounds, and moves as though he's a lot smaller than that. He caught the football away from his frame in every drill like a receiver and changed directions like a running back. He was really impressive at this camp.   In the 1-on-1 period in camp, he showed the ability to cover a pretty shifty group of running backs. Brown has great feet and closing speed to break up passes.   I'm going to keep a close eye on Brown in the upcoming 2025 football season.     Rebmann stood out among the rest of the offensive linemen in attendance.   It's hard not to love a big offensive lineman who loves to play dirty and put his opponent on his back. I'm not new to the Jake Rebmann show, he has already earned a fan in me, but I never had the opportunity to watch this young man in a camp setting. For being 6'6 300 pounds Rebmann moves extremely well. He doesn't have big, clunky feet that you expect from a player his size. He chops his feet very fast in order to keep defensive lineman in front of his base, and when in position, you can usually find the defensive lineman on his back and Rebmann looking down on him.   Rebmann performed exceptionally in the shuttle, and when it was time to put his paws on some lineman that's when he really started to turn some heads among the coaching staff.
