Small Town Seniors With Big Time Potential

On multiple occasions, he shows a huge catch radius, good route running and the ability to go up and make a contested catch. I like that he can be a threat both on deep balls and short/intermediate routes. He always seems in control, he's confident and decisive with the football. While he's not as naturally gifted of a passer as some other guys that are higher ranked in this class, for a small school guy, Veltman is absolutely a playmaker. He has taken some massive jumps in his game recently, and would expect it to show this fall. There, I was immediately impressed with the eye test. During warmups, he stuck out. He was just bigger and stronger than the rest of the players on the field. Once the game began, I loved what I saw. Piggot is an old school TE who loves to get out and block. He locked onto defenders and drove them out of the play, sometimes 15-20 yards down the field or more. He seemed to have good hands, but I definitely see him thriving at a blocking TE/FB role. He was grinding it out, taking what the defense gave him. Whether it be on the ground, weaving his way through the defense, or finding holes in coverage to drop some nice passes into their lap, you could see the talent on display. He's an absolute gamer who has an incredibly high ceiling. The 2-way player for Armada was exceptional, especially offensively. He has a good release, runs clean routes, and showed off the ability to make some pretty insane catches. In his game against Chesaning last season, I took note of his leadership and his ability to rally his guys in adversity. He also had one of the best plays of the night for OE with a long TD catch. He ran good routes, and had no issue blocking when asked to do so as well.
