Play after play he was coming up to stop the run, and also dropping back into coverage and making life hard on the QB, even coming up with the game sealing interception. Benson is really physical, and has a nose for the ball. He can shed blocks and rally to the ball, and it was on full display at Ford Field.

Another tremendous day for Bennson Harper. Specifically on offense, I was really impressed with his versatility. I came into the game knowing what he could do as a receiver, and he showed those skills. He had a couple of circus catches that not everyone can make. I was also really impressed by his ability on the ground. He took a few handoffs and was able to get into the open field and make guys miss along the way. As most smaller school athletes, he played both was and he had a good day on that side of the ball as well, but his true value comes as a WR/RB and his ability to jump and run with anyone. Looking forward to seeing how he develops, he’s another guy that should absolutely have shots at the next level.

On multiple occasions, he shows a huge catch radius, good route running and the ability to go up and make a contested catch. I like that he can be a threat both on deep balls and short/intermediate routes. Harper could be a diamond in the rough that gets discovered, molded and utlilized at the next level.
