Heaps of talent head to the next level out of the Metroplex trenches year in and year out. That remains to be true this year, as the class of 2026 is loaded with offensive line talent out of the area. But as they finish their careers and make their college choices, it's already time to focus on another batch of elite trench warriors in the '27 class. With plenty to go around in the DFW region, here are five guys set to break out this season.

Carraway is a big, bruising left tackle who has a lot of fun showcasing his talent while blocking for one of the best running backs in the nation. The force of an anchor excels in zone run schemes, displaying a powerful get-off, heavy hands, and a high motor to finish blocks into the second level. He also shows plenty of promise for the next level in pass pro, possessing solid technique and good pad-level. For his monstrous size, Carraway even demonstrates a decent mix of short-area quickness and change of direction as well. Just now entering his junior campaign, Jordan has all the traits and the frame necessary to be a national star at the LT position. The powerful blind side bodyguard has already compiled over 15 offers, from schools including Arizona, Penn State, and SMU.

Another giant of a left tackle, Herrera sports a long, athletic frame with plenty of room to still fill out. The Eagles' anchor showcases quick footwork, great bend, and high motor. He excels at making multiple stops in zone run schemes, often resulting in multiple defenders on the ground. Alexander also displays the ability to succeed in pass pro from both tackle positions. He has a good first step, along with the athleticism and length combo to recover if beaten off the edge. Another strong attribute of Herrera is the intentionality and consistency of his hands into defenders' chests. Herrera has a sky-high ceiling and should take another step forward this season. The start tackle holds an offer list from schools, including Arkansas, Texas Tech, and Arizona State.

Yet again at the left tackle position, Eiwo is an explosive and versatile young lineman who has potential across the entire line of scrimmage. While not the largest player at this position, Kelvin plays with an unmatched level of twitch and power that should translate to success at the next level. He also demonstrates solid short-area quickness used to shift between gaps in run plays. While he can plug anywhere across the line at the next level, Eiwo does certainly possess a strong pass pro set. Emerging as a leader for the Cougar offense, expect another dynamic year full of burst and pop for Kelvin's junior season. He has already stacked up over 10 offers from schools such as, Utah, Georgia Tech, and UNLV.

Now shifting to a versatile lineman with a strong frame, Williams is truly a jack of all gaps and schemes for the powerhouse Panthers' offense. In 2024, Aiden got reps at guard and tackle on both sides of the offensive line. For such a young player, his technique and pad level are extremely polished. Williams also does a great job at exploding out of his hips, driving his feet, and maintaining consistent, heavy hands into the second level. The do-it-all unit will be a must-watch in 2025, as he is likely to settle into a position and come into his own as a national recruit. Williams has already obtained offers from several schools, such as TCU, Texas Tech, and Colorado State.

You have to be a real dog to hold down the blindside for Southlake Carroll, one of the QB capitals of the country. Wilson is dominant in pass protection, with a quick first step, great bend, and a high motor. He thrives at striking with his hands and maintaining the anchor with strong extension and polished footwork. Wilson's ability to create power with simultaneous upper and lower body control mirrors that of a power 4 starting left tackle. There's not much to not like in the Dragon's anchor on offense. He will continue to add more quickness to his stellar skill set while helping lead the Dragons to a run at the state title. Luke will build upon his offer list, which already includes schools such as Florida State, Oklahoma, and TCU.
