Bingham proved as a sophomore that he's a good quarterback and a good athlete. He completed 55 percent of his passes for 1,749 yards and 23 touchdowns against eight interceptions. Bingham added 368 yards (6.8 YPC) and eight scores on the ground. On defense, he registered 49.5 tackles (31 solo, 1.0 TFL) and six interceptions. Bingham also averaged 14.5 yards on four punt returns. Bingham has security in knowing he can continue developing as a quarterback, showing colleges that's his path, or he can fall back on the possibility of playing another position on the next level. Bingham shows off his dual-threat, signal-calling talents on his 10th-grade highlight video. You can also see his exploits as a safety. Either way, Bingham is definitely one to watch in 2025.

When viewing McBride's sophomore highlight video, his arm strength stands out right away. It's there when he's firing away from the pocket and stays with him when throwing on the move. McBride's long strides help him avoid pressure laterally and benefit him when he takes off running. He does a nice job surveying the field and going through his progressions. With the physical tools and advanced feel for the position, McBride's potential is considerable. As a a 10th-grader in 2024, he completed 58 percent of his throws for 1,518 yards and 18 touchdowns against 10 interceptions. McBride added 112 yards (6.6 YPC) and a pair of scores on the ground.

Heitland shined in 2024, when he completed 74.4 percent of his passes for 1,883 yards and 28 touchdowns against just six interceptions as a sophomore playing in the state's largest classification. He chipped in 208 yards (7.2 YPC) and four scores rushing, highlighting his mobility at the position. His 10th-grade video highlights reveal how he operates behind center. Accuracy, touch and a quick release stand out as top traits. Heitland is on the money tossing short routes and also can drop it in the bucket on deep balls. He displays a good feel in the pocket and has the athleticism to extend plays with his legs when he feels the pressure.

Haug got his feet wet as a sophomore starter behind center in 2024. He accounted well for himself, tossing six touchdowns and rushing for 200 yards, a TD and a two-point conversion. We can witness how he operates watching his 10th-grade highlight video. Huag's arm is capable of making all the throws. One of the first clips on the film features him zipping a ball from the from the left hash to the right sideline on a quick route. He certainly has the ability to stretch the field and moves well in the pocket. Haug appears to see the field well and is proficient in getting through his progressions. You could do a lot worse picking Haug as a 2025 breakout.

Harder's sophomore season of 2024 was prolific. He completed 63.7 percent of his passes for 2,882 yards and 29 touchdowns against 14 interceptions in quarterbacking the squad to a Class A state championship. He add 112 yards and a score on the ground, showing he can keep plays alive with his legs even when they go off schedule. Harder also handled the team's punting duties. His 10th-grade highlight video provides evidence of how he succeeds. Harder spins the ball well. He can zip it through smaller windows and keeps it away from defenders. With a quick release, Harder can connect on short routes. His film also highlights nice touch and accuracy on the deep ball.

Athleticism and toughness stood out to me when I watched Rinnan play during a live scout at Iowa City West early last season. Those traits and others have had Rinnan operating as the J-Hawks' starting quarterback during his first two prep seasons. He and the offense have experienced inconsistencies but could very well be ready for a significant step forward in 2025. Rinnan has the athleticism and football IQ to raise his consistency behind center. That mostly speaks to his throwing. He's more impactful than many running backs carrying the ball. Rinnan rushed for 632 yards and six touchdowns last year. Arm strength isn't holding him back, as you can witness on the opening clip of his 10th-grade highlight video. Keep watching to see plenty of potential.
