The final set of rankings is officially out with the latest <a href="https://prepredzone.com/iowa/rankings/2026-rankings/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Class of 2026 rankings</a> update! This was a massive update, featuring over 150 new players, which brought our total to 478 ranked prospects and more than 250 watchlist players. As we have done with the recent updates, Rob and I will conduct position breakdowns, covering some of the top prospects in each positional group and providing insights into their recruitment and film analysis.   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />    <a href="https://x.com/75raycooper" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@75raycooper)</a>   Dubuque Hempstead's [player_tooltip player_id='1241486' first='RaQuann' last='Cooper'] is one of the more physically imposing prospects in this 2026 cycle, standing at a towering 6'7", 320 pounds. Although there are still some raw areas to RaQuann's game, he shows all the tools from size, power, and mobility to develop into a true standout at the next level. Cooper showed that even at 6'7", he can avoid getting too high in his stance and can play with consistent pad level when engaged. He moves well as a run blocker, showing his ability to seal off linebackers as he reaches the second level. His heavy hands can hit like bricks when he swats at defenders and can then use his momentum to drive them into the turf. One of the top available prospects!      <a href="https://x.com/greyson_beattie" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@greyson_beattie)</a>   Waukee Northwest's [player_tooltip player_id='1240556' first='Greyson' last='Beattie'] is a player who has been high on my radar since delivering an impressive showcase performance, earning OL MVP honors. Although not the biggest, Beattie demonstrated that he can win his matchup by utilizing excellent technique and an understanding of leverage. He possesses a very strong base that allows him to anchor down when engaged with defenders and can then use his powerful leg drive to move them off the ball at will. Beattie does a great job shooting his hands and working them inside to win the inside leverage battle. Physical and aggressive at the point of attack and through the whistle. I was also impressed with Greyson's ability to build a head of steam and explode through his opponents when pulling on running plays. Greyson has an offer from Bethany College and will likely tack on a few more before the end of the season. Hidden gem prospect!      <a href="https://x.com/Trystyn_Heller" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@Trystyn_Heller)</a>   Boone's [player_tooltip player_id='1665970' first='Trystyn' last='Heller'] is a name to watch this fall as he will look to be a key part of the Torreador's offensive line. Heller proved to be quite the mover on the offensive line both in his ability to drive defenders off the ball and his fluid lateral mobility. He does a good job maintaining proper footwork when engaged and knows where to position his hands to gain leverage on his opponent. Heller plays with a good motor and flashed a bit of a mean streak. Heller has started to catch some attention with an offer from Loras College and Sussex CC, but something tells me there'll be more on the way.      <a href="https://x.com/keyshawnsmith77" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@keyshawnsmith77)</a>   Okoboji's [player_tooltip player_id='1370633' first='Keyshawn' last='Smith'] is an under-the-radar guard who could continue to grow his recruiting profile with a strong senior campaign. Watching Keyshawn's tape, I was impressed with his aggressive attitude and willingness to get after defenders when run blocking. He is quick to get out of his stance and get hands on his opponent. Smith showed the leg drive to move defenders at will and can climb to the second level to look for more work. Keyshawn's fiery motor will see him battle with opponents through the whistle and look to end the block in the dirt for a pancake. Smith holds two solid in-state offers from Northwestern College and Grand View.      <a href="https://x.com/nevitt_max" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@nevitt_max)</a>   Algona is a team with a solid senior class going into the 2025 season, including [player_tooltip player_id='1240420' first='Max' last='Nevitt'] who will be leading the charge in the trenches. I can see Max receiving looks at either offensive guard or defensive lineman based on his junior tape. Offensively, Max plays with great instincts, keeping his head on a swivel, quickly identifying where pressure is coming from and adjusting. He packs a solid punch that can stun his opponents while still looking to finish the play. He uses his natural leverage to his advantage by maintaining good pad level and bend when battling with defenders. On defense, Max does a good job fitting the run and tracking the ball to slow down the opposing run game.
