Kentucky 29s to Watch: Offense

As the month of July is coming to an end, the 2025 high school football season is almost here! With a new season beginning, a new graduating class will be entering their first year of high school football. With that in mind, I wanted to take some time to focus on some intriguing incoming freshmen who will be starting their high school careers this year. To kick things off, here are some notable offensive prospects to keep an eye on in the class of 2029 in the state of Kentucky.    [player_tooltip player_id='1686543' first='Cole' last='Presswood'] is a quarterback who has begun to make a name for himself before even stepping on a high school field. Presswood has impressive mechanics and a smooth quick release which helps him with his accuracy, showing the ability to hit receivers out of their breaks with ease so that they can make catches in stride. He has also shown the arm strength to stretch the field in the deep passing game. Cole already holds offers from Nicholls State, Eastern Kentucky, and Murray State, and I expect more to come his way over the next four seasons as his potential is through the roof.     [player_tooltip player_id='1145692' first='Jayden' last='Guzman'] has impressed when taking varsity reps in 7-on-7 this summer. He does a great job of going through his progressions to find the open receiver. Guzman has also shown impressive accuracy, putting the ball in a spot where only his intended receiver can catch it, regardless of what type of coverage is around them. Jayden is in a great program for a quarterback to develop so he will definitely be a player to keep an eye.     [player_tooltip player_id='1650972' first='Tanner' last='Stutler'] is another incoming freshman quarterback who has impressed during varsity 7v7 action this offseason. Stutler has impressive arm strength which he uses to lead his receivers down the field with ease in the deep passing game. He has also shown the ability to roll outside the pocket while keeping his eyes down the field to make throws on the run. Tanner is a quarterback to pay close attention to as he could see some early playing time at Ashland.     [player_tooltip player_id='868214' first='Cooper' last='Scott'] put together some very impressive eight grade film. Scott throws an impressive deep ball, using his arm strength to stretch the field while also showing the ball placement to put passes where only his intended receiver can catch it. He has also shown the ability to escape pressure while keeping his eyes down the field to find the open receiver on the run. Scott will definitely be a player to watch as he develops in a Pikeville program that has had a history of solid quarterback play over the past several years.     [player_tooltip player_id='1669517' first='Enzo' last='Swanson'] caught my attention when watching his eighth grade film. He is a very strong runner who keeps his legs churning through contact while maintaining his balance to break tackles with ease without losing stride. Once he hits the open field, Swanson has shown the speed to run away from the defense on long runs. He has also proven to be a reliable receiving threat out of the backfield. Enzo will be a player to continue to watch over the next four years as he has the potential to be a very productive back at the high school level.     [player_tooltip player_id='1280013' first='Alexander' last='Dezern'] has been very impressive during the camp circuit and in 7v7 tournaments this summer. Dezern has explosive speed which he uses to blow by opposing defensive backs with ease in the deep passing game. He is also dangerous after the catch, using his speed and elusiveness in the open field to turn short passes/screens into big gains. Dezern should be a player to continue to watch as he continues to develop over the next four seasons.     My final notable offensive prospect to watch in the class of 2029 in the state of Kentucky is [player_tooltip player_id='910150' first='Mason' last='Baker']. Baker lines up at offensive tackle where he is very reliable in pass protection. He has shown the footwork to mirror opposing pass rushers off the edge with ease. Baker also keeps a strong base while absorbing contact, not allowing for much penetration into the pocket. He also plays with a ton of physicality, driving his man out of the picture with ease and frequently finishing with a pancake block. Baker should be a player to keep a close eye on over the next four years as he joins a CAL program that has produced a lot of talented offensive linemen.
