We've got more breakout-ready QBs than any other year. 2025 comes with many Varsity debuts, and even more 2nd-year QBs with insane upside. Here, we've got five QBs ready for the spotlight. Hoping to see most of these guys at a game this season!

It's [player_tooltip player_id='1157439' first='Duke' last='Banta'] time at Detroit Catholic Central.

I have Duke ranked as the #1 class of 2027 QB in the Catholic League. Duke has a ton of great flashes. Mechanics are great, which leads to consistent throw power and much more consistent accuracy. Reports and camp performances indicate further improvements. It's clear that Duke is ready for a breakout season.

The biggest question mark with Duke (and most QBs) is IQ. Duke is going to face what is arguably the most difficult schedule in Michigan. Take care of the football, and he could be in for Power 4 offers.

Just a month away until we see what [player_tooltip player_id='1149421' first='Kendall' last='Franklin'] is made of.

The 2027 QB rankings are far from set in stone. In my rankings, I ranked Kendall #1 because of his existing tape and offseason performances. It's hard to imagine Kendall not being successful. Has the arm, flashed pinpoint accuracy, and was able to learn from Bryce Underwood in the past couple of seasons.

Sky's the limit. It's time for [player_tooltip player_id='1149421' first='Kendall' last='Franklin'] to shine!

I've mentioned Odin a few times recently.

Last season, GR Catholic Central was a lot younger and a lot more inexperienced than average. Still, they were able to play their best ball in the postseason, beat rival West Catholic (again). Odin and GR Catholic Central as a whole improved a ton throughout last season.

Starting as a freshman is not easy. Odin has a year of starting experience, a full high school offseason, and he honestly looks like a completely different QB. I'm confident that 2025 will be Odin's breakout year.

This is an obvious pick. Nikkos was an extremely successful QB over at University Liggett.

Whenever a QB transfers to a higher level of competition, there's usually a dip in production. Most of these moves come with some skepticism. Nikkos, on the other hand, has done a phenomenal job of silencing any potential critics. The ball launches out of Nikkos' hand, he's an above-average athlete and flashes excellent ball placement. Even at his floor, I think Nikkos is an instand upgrade to the Dakota offense.

The OK Red is home to some of the toughest defenses in Michigan. Last season, Brayden handled them pretty well. Though, his season absolutely had some highs and lows.

Another offseason, and some reported improvements. Brayden seems more mature, more confident, and absolutely ready for a big senior season. According to my Twitter Poll, a plurality of people think Rockford is going to re-take the OK Red. Obviously, the masses are confident in Rockford and [player_tooltip player_id='913846' first='Brayden' last='Daniels']. Now's his time to lead Rockford deep into the postseason!
