Throughout the summer, we will be looking at the 2026, 2027, 2028 NY recruiting classes. While stats show numbers, film shows the entire story. For this series we will be looking at 30 players in each position throughout the next three cycles. In this third edition of QB Film Study we have [player_tooltip player_id='1333888' first='Maurice' last='Scott'], [player_tooltip player_id='1624495' first='Johnny' last='Vitullo'], [player_tooltip player_id='813737' first='X'zavion' last='Streiff'], [player_tooltip player_id='1539086' first='Nate' last='Meachem'], and [player_tooltip player_id='842934' first='Aaron' last='Smith'].

Standing at 6'2" 170-pounds, Scott has an average build for the QB position. Following a transfer to St John The Baptist, he found himself in a QB room with a returning starter limiting playing time.

Looking at his film, he has some of the prettiest mechanics in the 2026 class. His motion is pure and smooth and his three-step drop comes effortlessly. He stands tall in the pocket and can deliver an accurate strike while facing pressure. His Deep ball is nice and looks clean accuracy tends to dip on harder throws. He feels comfortable outside the pocket and can use his legs to create plays down the field.

[player_tooltip player_id='1333888' first='Maurice' last='Scott'] has a bright IQ paired with excellent mechanics. With a full season behind the helm, I expect to grasp a better picture on one of the more technical QB's in the class.

Standing at 6'1" 185-pounds, [player_tooltip player_id='1624495' first='Johnny' last='Vitullo'] has an average build for the QB position. Following an impressive Junior season, tallying 22 touchdowns and over 1,700 yards. Vitullo looks to climb up the ranks as one of the top Section Three QB's.

Vitullo stands tall in the pocket and has a strong frame. He can deliver balls while taking hits with ease. He throws a nice deep ball with solid accuracy. His best balls are thrown over the middle as he uses his IQ to read the defense and find soft zones in coverage.

Vitullo is an underrated prospect with some valuable traits. Mechanics can use some fine tweaking, but he is easily a top QB in Section Three.

Following his Sophomore Season at Bishop Ludden, Streiff will transfer to Section Three West Genesee for his Senior Season. Standing at 6'1" 180-pounds X'zavion displays an average build for the QB position.

Streiff has one of the better deep balls in the state and delivers the ball with accuracy and efficiency. He keeps his eyes downfield and looks to create plays at every opportunity. He can take hits and feels pressure well delivering a strike with accuracy outside or inside the pocket with defenders down his neck. He has elite athleticism and feels the field well escaping defenders and ensuring positive gains. His accuracy is visible on film as he can deliver the ball to both sides of the field.

Streiff enters a stacked Section Three QB market with West Genesee and will look to compete against some of the top QB's in the state.

Following in the footsteps of his brother, Nate plays basketball and football. The two-sport athlete stands at 6'3" 160 pounds and has a below-average build for the QB position. He should look to gain 10-15 pounds of good weight based on his frame.

He is calm in the pocket and has a solid IQ with good playmaking ability. He can use his legs in the RPO and Option game and can read a defense. He can hit all levels of the field and does so with solid strength and accuracy.

The Honeoye Falls-Lima QB accumulated over 20 touchdowns in his junior season and has minimal work to tweak in all aspects of QB. Overall a solid prospect.

From a statistical standpoint, Smith was a top QB in the state. Smith is a dual-sport athlete and also plays basketball.

He is a strong QB with a beautiful deep ball. A true dual-threat on the football field he feels comfortable outside the pocket and can create plays with both his legs and arm at any point across the field. He has elite accuracy with his throws outside the pocket and down the field making him a threat on any down. He spent reps at FS allowing him to understand a defense and cut through them on the opposite side of the ball.

There is a lot to like on film with [player_tooltip player_id='842934' first='Aaron' last='Smith'] and he is a guy who will easily rise and receive college interest with continued success this fall.
