Our prediction for Region 7 Offensive Player of the Year is Dennis. He takes over as the signal caller this year, and the ability to be a dual-threat signal caller will stress the defense with every play. He'll have the ball in his hands with every snap and can dictate what the offense will do to keep the defenses on their heels. He throws a good, deep ball, processes quickly, and has all the tools in his skill set to help lead Timpview to a deep postseason push and the potential to help lead Timpview to win Region 7. Dennis is primed for a monster season and is one of the best athletes in the region.

Juni is our pick for Region 7 Defensive Player of the Year. He should feast on the 5A competition and is simply too pure an athlete to be single-covered for any extensive time. He'll need to be double-teamed and chipped, and even then, it might not be good enough. He has all the tools to get 15+ sacks this year and cause chaos all season long.

Jarvis is our Region 7 Offensive Newcomer of the Year. He is a tremendous athlete and a Power-Four starter at the next level. He is a complete running back with great vision, overall speed, explosive burst, contact balance, and is a natural hands catcher. He'll easily get a dozen offers

Fiatoa is our Defensive Newcomer of the Year. He comes in from Southern California at powerhouse St John Bosco. He should return the investment made by Timpview and lead the defensive back unit. He has great instincts and showcases an exceptional skill set and will be a key playmaker for Timpview, and he should be a menace for the 5A classification.

Moala has done well this offseason and during 7's and camps. He shows good patience as a runner, has good vision, moves well laterally and has a good burst. He potentially slots in as the 1B and could have an enhanced role and take over as the lead back. There's a lot of moving parts for Orem at the running back position and Moala has every right to be a key player in that room.

Lavaki has a chance to be a big part of the defensive line rotation and come in handy for depth, and towards the end of the season and into the postseason. He's an integral part of the line to keep everyone fresh, and should factor in this season, he has potentially a huge role for that line.

Coombs is an exciting incoming freshman and will likely see action on Thursday nights, but could dress on Fridays when he shows his skillset and earns snaps at the varsity level. It's likely he starts his way on special teams at the varsity level and contributes as part of a rotational piece or late in games if the score is out of hand.

Region 7 Winner?
Orem Tigers
Orem is built to win this year, they pushed all in and went after multiple transfers. They only lost one prominent transfer who moved outside the continental 48 states. The start to their season is difficult, but once they get through August, it should be clear sailing for them. They return key players at the skilled positions, and they should be able to take down the region and make a deep postseason run, and potentially a 5A state title.
Region 7 Runner-Up?
Timpview Thunderbirds
Timpview loses a lot of production from graduation and transfers, but they have a lot of talent remaining and have more talent in the pipeline. They have a tough start to the season, but once they get through that beginning hurdle, they should find their stride and make a run at the region and a deep postseason push.
Region 7 Contender?
Pleasant Grove Vikings
Perhaps an eye-catching selection, but the Vikings drop down to 5A and return a strong QB room. The receivers are primed to carry the offense, and the defense is set up to feast on the new classification. They don't have a horrible schedule, and they're my darkhorse pick to push for the region and make a deep postseason push.
