Fitzsimons' throws truly look effortless and decisive when he has a clean pocket. He does not wait or hold on to it, and only really moves when he must buy time for a throw - including stepping up in the pocket. In terms of his best throws, they are absolute gems that are right in the safe place where nobody but his guy can make a play on it. What I enjoyed most about his film was that Fitzsimons sprays the ball over the field, to all sorts of routes, at all sorts of depths. A solid decision maker, from what I notice it does not appear that Fitzsimons makes many risky throws. In short, Fitzsimons looks like a cool customer at quarterback who demonstrates superb command of the position and the offense.

If memory serves me correct, [player_tooltip player_id='1543887' first='Ryan' last='Moye'] was a prospect I first learned about back during his freshman year. Fast forward to present day, Moye might just have the strongest arm in his graduating class. By my account Moye is able to sling that thing nearly 60 yards downfield without looking strained or encumbered whatsoever. In oder to get those bombs off, you must be comfortable in the pocket and trust your pocket - which he does - neither getting antsy nor moving for the sake of it. Those deep bombs are placed perfectly to a spot where his target can get under it and continue running with it. Moye seems to throw the ball on-target high, which fits the mould of his taller receivers. As if I did not speak on Moye's arm strength enough, we did see him throw a comeback route to the far sideline against his body.

When it comes to dual-threat quarterbacks, there is only one other name other than [player_tooltip player_id='1105237' first='Sayvien' last='Adams'] that sits atop of mind. Adams has some arm strength where he can hit deep flat routes, but what makes him special is how nifty a runner he is. Adams has the ability to weave in-and-out of traffic like he is playing Mario Cart. When rolling to his left, he is able to get good placement on this throws. Having a good opportunity to measure his raw arm strength, Adams connected on a 40-yard completion over the middle where he had zero room to step into his throw, having to do so off of his front foot. He is a bit of a twitchy mover, where we see him run his track inside-out well. I, personally, really like his game and what he brings to the table. Adams collegiate prospects likely rest on how big he actually is - because the film certainly is there.

Something about that mountainous northwest Jersey air that fills the lungs of young prospects in Sparta that always have us looking their way for football talent. Quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1048181' first='Shane' last='Hoover'] is a damn good one. Hoover can deliver 40-yard vertical strikes like tear drops without effort. Do not sleep on this young man's ability to run either, as he executes PROs well and will throw fakes in there before deciding to keep the rock himself. It also helps that he has a burst of speed when running. Based on what I saw on film I though Hoover really trusts his receivers to come up victorious in 5050 situations. Perhaps his single most impressive throw was the one where he put enough touch on his throw to get it over the hook defender against what looked like a cover 4 shell. Without triggering his lower half, Hoover delivers the ball about 35 yards; however, when he has time to throw we see that he transfers his weight well and move forward off of his front foot - allowing him to get velocity on his throws too.

I know I had written about [player_tooltip player_id='1558130' first='Zach' last='LaBarca'] previously, yet I never actually watched his film until this update - and there is much more to write about. Mechanically we see a slight weight transfer in his lower half that leads LaBarca to unleash a ball about 55 yards downfield. Moreover, LaBarca has shown arm strength to hit deep outs well, releasing the ball early and in a place where his receiver can toe tap and get out of bounds to safety while on the near middle-hash. This theme continues, as we see LaBarca hit some really long throws across the field at times. Throwing is not all that he does, though. LaBarca is athletic enough to escape trouble and rip of huge gainers. He also is willing to take a hit in the pocket to deliver the throw he wants.
<!-- wp:embed Film is one of the best tools to self-scout, evaluate, and improve. As is the case with any rankings update, we want to celebrate and highlight select prospects who had some really nice film and talk about their game. That said kill the lights, close the blinds, and turn the projector on and join me, as we prepare to enter the film room to discuss what I saw on film.
