As we get closer and closer to the start of the 2025 high school football season, we have begun a new round of rankings updates. The latest class to be updated in the state of Kentucky is the class of 2028. With these rankings being posted, I have been taking the past week to break these rankings down by position. After already covering the offensive and defensive sides of the ball, I will wrap things up with our top ATH in the class of 2028 in the state of Kentucky who make an impact at multiple positions.

[player_tooltip player_id='1638833' first='Brady' last='Couch'] is a player who grabbed my attention when breaking down freshman year film. He is a true impact player on both sides of the ball but looks his best at receiver. Couch has the speed to pose as a deep threat and is also a smooth route runner. He finished his freshman year with four receptions for 63 yards in seven games. On defense, Couch lines up at corner where he has shown impressive ball skills, coming away with three interceptions last season. Brady currently holds an offer from Jacksonville State and I expect more to come his way as he continues to develop.

[player_tooltip player_id='1174234' first='Paxton' last='Gray'] is another impressive 2028 playmaker on LCA's roster. He is a versatile weapon on offense, showing the ability to lineup in the slot at receiver and out of the backfield. As a receiver, he has the speed to blow by opposing defensive backs with ease. When taking carries out of the backfield, Gray has shown the elusiveness to make defenders miss in the open field. He finished his freshman year with 38 carries for 236 yards and three touchdowns along with nine receptions for 138 yards in 12 games. Gray also returned one kickoff for a touchdown as a freshman and made an impact on defense, finishing the year with 13 tackles and an interception. Paxton doesn't currently hold any offers but he is a player who college coaches should keep a close eye on over the next few years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1274991' first='Deion' last='Davidson'] is a player who made a true impact as a freshman. He made his biggest impact on defense at safety while showing the versatility to play corner as well. Davidson is very reliable in coverage, showing the ability to read the quarterback and break on the ball with perfect timing to make a play. He finished his freshman year with three interceptions in 12 games. Deion also finished this past season with 50 tackles and three tackles for loss. He also made an impact on offense, running the ball seven times for 91 yards and a touchdown, and catching two passes for 27 yards. Davidson has received some college interest and I expect his recruitment to continue to heat up heading into his sophomore year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1042321' first='Jeremiah' last='Burbage'] is another player who made an impact as a freshman. On defense, he lines up at corner where he is very impressive in man coverage. He has shown the physicality to jam receivers followed by the speed to mirror their routes with ease. When the ball is thrown his way, he has shown the ability to react with perfect timing to make a play. Burbage finished his freshman year with one interception and several pass breakups in 11 games. He also finished this past season with 17 tackles and caught two passes for 26 yards. Burbage doesn't currently hold any offers but he will be a player to watch as his role continues to grow on both sides of the ball.

To wrap up our top five ATH in the class of 2028 in the state of Kentucky, I have [player_tooltip player_id='1638819' first='Darian' last='Bryant']. Bryant made a huge impact on defense at middle linebacker as a freshman. He is very impressive against the run, showing the ability to read his keys quickly then explode downhill to get to the ball carrier before they can get going. Once he gets to the ball carrier, he is a very reliable tackler, finishing this past season with 72 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss in 11 games. He also finished the year with half a sack and made an impact on offense, running the ball 16 times for 77 yards and a touchdown. Darian should be a player for college coaches to keep a close eye on over the next three seasons.
