Not only did we add nearly 100 new athletes to the 2027 rankings, we also added a small collection of talent from the Watch List to the rankings. These athletes were kids that we either got to see a ton of at camps, they published film since our previous update, or both for some. This is a fun article because there is something for everything to keep an eye on as this group goes through their junior seasons, establish themselves further on varsity and continue to rack up the invaluable experience and game tape on Friday nights. Let's talk about these newly ranked student athletes.

Evan is a prospect to be excited about and one that could be on his way to a massive breakout junior year. The 2027 OT possesses an elite frame that is just beginning to fill out and pack on that devastating power to dominate in the trenches. Evan's massive wingspan gives him the advantage of always being the first guy to make contact. His mobility and foot quickness were serviceable in keeping him square, and balanced in front of his opponent too. This fall we will be watching to see things start to come together for Evan.

Big fan of this Madison Memorial athlete. Sam has looked the part of a kid that is ready for his varsity breakout. The path is there for him to become that go to weapon, and the athletic gifts are going to allow him to capitalize on the opportunities he does get. The '27 WR is going to be a nightmare matchup out wide. He does everything with a dominant, quick twitch. Whether it be getting off the line, route running, or making DBs miss after the catch, Sam has the ability to start/stop and change direction with the best of them. Very excited to see the early season film from the incoming junior as he further locks in his talents that make him such a potential mismatch.

Jackson is coming off a sophomore season that he didn't get to see much action during because of an injury. That looks like it is far behind him as Jackson enters his junior season. The 6'1" 170 lbs athlete has performed well across the board of his camp schedule. I was able to see him in person as well as see the clips and results of other camps and there is no questioning the athleticism. Jackson brings what should be a very effective blend of quickness and speed to the field that can make him a threat to win with route running or with his ability to stretch the field. Zuleger definitely has the talent to be a difference maker on either side of the ball, so I'm excited to see where his best plays come from this season. Definitely keep an eye on Jackson. With a fresh collection of film we could see him really push himself further up these rankings.

I was impressed with what I saw from the sophomore tape out of Alex. The 5'9" 190 lbs athlete shines on tape with his strength and physicality while playing RB and LB. On offense we see Alex getting north-south and at most being a one-cut runner who is looking to get up field as soon as he can. He also has the mentality that he won't hesitate to try and run through a defender to get the yards he needs. His frame comes with a low center of gravity, a trait that helps him in his tackling on defense too. Alex is also a high motor player highlighted by his impact on both sides of the ball and his ability to make the effort play downfield.

Xavier is another athlete in this list who made him move to the rankings thanks to multiple camp showings that caught my eyes and the attention of other PRZ scouts. Xavier has a physical style of play. He will get up on the line, use his hands to redirect receivers and make it hard to get off the line. He also showed that he could move well in space once he was downfield trying to react quickly to route breaks. Watching Dawson battle at camps also gave me that sense that he has the confidence needed to be out on an island and battle some impressive athletes 1 on 1. I'm excited to see his role on what could be a very talented Wisconsin Lutheran team.

Eemir is another athlete in this article that had to battle through some injuries in 2024, but the tape that is available shows a kid with the talent to find a next level home at CB. He is undersized at 5'8" 155 lbs, but Eemir doesn't lack much when it comes to the athleticism side of the position. He has a fluid backpedal and transition out of it. The quickness in all his changes of direction and acceleration look effortless. Eemir also has the long speed to run deep with receivers, and on a several plays would turn into the receiver himself and track the ball over his shoulder to make the play on the ball. This is looking like another breakout athlete that will have a stage to make a name for himself.

Brayden did a little bit of everything last season for East Troy. He serves as the starting QB primarily, but was able to get involved on defense and at RB and WR at times in 2024. That versatility is a draw on its own, and it also tips its hat towards his athletic abilities. At the QB position Brayden is a dual threat athlete who can flip the field with his arm or legs. He is a raw prospect overall, so I'm looking forward to seeing updated film from him as the season kicks off. There should be plenty of clips to watch as he is the leading rusher returning this fall on top of being the leading passer for his team.

Peyton is a kid coming off a solid JV season for Appleton East. No doubt he is working to get himself on the field Friday nights this fall. His JV highlights show a well rounded kid. He will do the physical, dirty work of lead blocking and getting LBs out of the called gap. He will also run hard behind his pads when he has the ball. And when he gets out in space he has some speed to get the edge and down the sideline. There was also some wiggle to his game when out in space as well. I'll be keeping an eye on him to see what his role is this fall.
