Not only is Sam another 2027 alumni, he is also a previous MVP of the WR position. This time around I am excited to see the entire day from Sam. From the combine where he is sure to dominate with his agility and change of direction to the 1 on 1 battles where he will get to once again show off his unreal route running abilities. I have been able to see Sam in person multiple times over the past year, and the way he wins with his route running is among the best in WI. I can guarantee you I’ll be watching him closely every chance I can.

. The 5’8″ 160 lbs 2027 has such a finely tuned skill set. The kid seems to always have an exact plan for how he is going to run his route. A plan that he can execute with pinpoint route breaks. Sam separates himself from the WR crowd with how effortless yet explosive he can get in and out of those route breaks. That same explosive athleticism also allows him to be very elusive after the catch. This kid has developed into a serious mismatch out wide.

Sam is continuing his run in the argument for best route runner in the state of Wisconsin. The junior WR has great feet and balance. He is so efficient with his movements in his route breaks and in those movements every step is backed by a powerful lower body. That explosive power was verified by a 4.81 40, 4.31 shuttle, 9’4″ broad jump, and a 6.23 L-Drill. Sam was one of my must watch kids in the 1 on 1 battles. First and foremost to see that route running open up separation rep after rep. Second was to watch his ball skills. Sam is not only nuanced with his route running. He is also skilled on the receiving end. He made some elite last second adjustments, flashed late hands on deep routes, and his concentration through contact showed up on multiple reps too. It was another great day for the 2027 WR.

Big fan of this Madison Memorial athlete. Sam has looked the part of a kid that is ready for his varsity breakout. The path is there for him to become that go to weapon, and the athletic gifts are going to allow him to capitalize on the opportunities he does get. The ’27 WR is going to be a nightmare matchup out wide. He does everything with a dominant, quick twitch. Whether it be getting off the line, route running, or making DBs miss after the catch, Sam has the ability to start/stop and change direction with the best of them. Very excited to see the early season film from the incoming junior as he further locks in his talents that make him such a potential mismatch.

The 2027 WR out of Madison Memorial is developing into such an impressive talent at the WR position. Looking at the entire WR position, Sam separated himself by being the best route runner of the day. His balance, quick feet, and acceleration come together to allow him to rip through route breaks with lightning quick agility that left DBs way behind him trying to close or catch back up. The efficiency he executes his routes with is just as impressive as the explosiveness. Sam utilizes so few steps to get through his breaks, leaving no excess time for a DB to gain back on him. Plus the incoming junior so naturally plucks the ball out of the air. I have been able to watch Sam live a couple times this summer. He always stands out from the crowd with his talents.
On top of it all the 2027 also did really well in the combine. He checked in at 5’7″ 155 lbs, ran a 4.61 40, 7.16 L-Drill, 4.31 shuttle, and jumped 9’1″. Game changing long speed. Elite short area agility and burst. It matches how he plays on the field.

What a day it was for Sam. From the jump he stood out and proved to be one of the most explosive athletes on the field. In the combine he started the buzz on what would be a great day with a 4.25 shuttle time. That time was just a hint towards what he would do during drills and 1 on 1s. To summarize his day, the 2027 looks like a WR that will be one of the toughest to stick to this fall.
Sam has an outstanding level of balance, explosive burst, and efficient footwork making his route running so crisp and effective. The sophomore was able to hit breaks at full speed all day with little to no wasted steps going into breaks. It is one thing to have that athleticism, it is another thing to also complete the package with the hands and ball tracking skills of a future collegiate WR. It is very easy to imagine the impact that Sam could have out of the slot in the future. I can’t wait to see him over the coming months and watch the tape that comes out this fall. Get eyes on this kid. He is rising quickly.
