A small-town sleeper running back deserving of more recognition, Favors was one of the more productive runnings backs across the state last year in the junior class. The underrated back ran for an eye-opening 1,704 yards and 19 touchdowns, hitting the 100-yard mark nine times. He brings a level of speed and the ability to break tackles that many backs in the 2026 class just don't have. He was an easy addition to the latest rankings and is now the No. 16 running back prospect in the state

While he had to share carries with fellow Rockmart back [player_tooltip player_id='1610586' first='Nate' last='Davis'], McCrary still showed last year that he's one of the top returning backs in the region for the upcoming season. A smaller back with quickness and impressive change of direction, McCrary is coming off a strong 2024 season as a junior where he ran for just under 800 yards and six touchdowns, hitting the 100-yard mark twice. He's now ranked by Prep Redzone as the No. 54 overall running back in Georgia for the 2026 class.

A consistent metro-Atlanta back flying under the radar, Gooding may not have ideal size or speed, but he's a consistent runner who plays hard and makes plays in the run game. He was one of the top backs in the region last year as he ran for 876 yards and three touchdowns, rushing for at least 100 yards in five of his eight games, averaging just under 110 yards per game. Look for him to have a massive senior season in 2025. He's now ranked as the No. 55 running back prospect in the state according to the latest rankings update.

A sleeper back south of Atlanta with impressive breakaway speed, balance, and the ability to pick yards after first contact, Minor was one of the top backs in the area last a junior. The speedy back from Stockbridge ran for 863 yards on just 92 carries for an impressive 9.4 yards per carry. He also found the end-zone 10 times and ran for at least 100 yards in five games. His best football is still ahead of him and D1 offers could come his way with a big senior season. Minor is now ranked by Prep Redzone as the No. 57 running back in the state with a chance to see his ranking rise even more in the fall.

A do-it-all prospect who plays all over the field and on both sides of the ball for his North Hall team, Carlton is a natural on the gridiron who plays hard every span. He brings a physical presence at running back who can fight off defenders and pick up tough yards down the field. He's coming off a strong 2024 season as a junior where he ran for 681 yards and a team-leading 11 touchdowns, rushing for at least 100 yards in three different games. He's ranked by Prep Redzone now as the No. 58 running back prospect in the 2026 class.
