2026 Rankings Update: Top-100 New Additions

<p><em>Taking a look at some of the new additions inside the top-100 in Prep Redzone's latest update to the 2026 Nevada rankings.</em></p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Mingo took over the top-ranked WR spot in the latest update to the 2026 rankings with his transfer back to Vegas after spending last season at Sierra Canyon (CA). The New Mexico-commit is an elite athlete that should quickly re-establish himself as one of the top playmakers in the state now with Bishop Gorman. He's explosive out of the slot with high-level speed, twitch, and body control to his skillset. Totaled 600 yards and 4 TDs on 53 catches as a junior. The 6'1"/165 athlete out of Sunrise Mountain had been flying under the PRZ radar until picking up his first offer from UNLV in April and showed explosive playmaking in his junior tape. He's a smooth, slick mover that's extremely dangerous with the ball in his hands with the speed, agility, and elusiveness he brings to the table. Shows good hands and adjustment to the ball as a pass-catcher and is a do-it-all gadget player for the Miners offense. He's a big, powerful force on both sides of the ball that can dominate the trenches with the natural size and strength he possesses. He controls defenders with his hands and can move interior DL off the ball on the offensive side of the ball and shows good lateral range from his DT spot. Moves well for his size and shows some promising technique as a rusher. The senior wideout impressed one of our PRZ scouts at the <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/06/best-of-the-west-mega-camp-session-5/">Best of the West Mega Camp</a> in late June where he picked up an offer from Weber St. and announced his commitment to the Wildcats shortly after. He's a fast, twitchy receiver that should form one of the most explosive WR duos in Vegas alongside 2027 standout- [player_tooltip player_id='941277' first='Jayden' last='Thomas']. He's a physical SS/OLB that's an active tackler around the LOS as a second-level defender. Shows good range and lateral speed getting to the sideline and hits with power around the edge of the box. Rhodes was an all-state selection as a sophomore at Lake Mead Christian Academy and should be an impact defender for Sloan Canyon this season. </p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/GavinRhodes0715/status/1881131990197645601 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Ames made the 2026 rankings as the #11 ATH after showing versatility on both sides of the ball as a QB/LB. He's a physical athlete at 6'1"/220 that can defend the run at a high level as an off-ball linebacker and offers some promising raw upside in his playmaking as a passer. Likely reaches his highest ceiling as a linebacker but will certainly be a QB to keep an eye on in the fall after leading Mojave to a state title a season ago.
