2026 Film Study: Section 1-3 2026 EDGE Rushers

For this series we will be looking at 10 players in each position throughout the next three cycles. Adding around 5-10 pounds can help improve his frame. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Pettitt is an outstanding run stopper his aggressiveness is displayed on film and shown in the stats. He accumulated over 60 tackles in his Junior season. He displays a nice tool bag off moves such as a swim or rip and uses them to bend around tackles. He has a solid burst and a good first step which allow him to carve past defenders. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>He is a dream defender for a DC with the ability to reach the backfield and swat passes. He displays solid traits on the offensive side of the ball, and the power he has from FB off the LOS allows him to break multiple tackles. As an EDGE rusher, he is a sturdy prospect who stands tall at the POA. he displays good hands and solid strength which allows him to bend past tackles with ease. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bieber is a scary aggressive force to see on an opposing defense and he uses this to his advantage. Ogbonuba is an athletic twitchy prospect. He has good speed and a great first step which allow him to set the edge and beat tackles to the POA. He has solid strength and a good understanding of leverage which is displayed with his solid body control. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>He is a long physical athletic prospect which allows him to impact both the run and passing games. The 6'3" 210 pound prospect displays good size for the EDGE position and has been a cornerstone to the Pelham Defense. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>He has excellent pass rush moves and excels with his Swim moves. He shows a quick first step and a good bend which he uses to work around the lineman. His hand placement is good and is displayed throughout his film. To improve his build he can look to gain 5-10 pounds of good weight. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>He plays on both sides of the ball and takes snaps at the Guard position which allow him to understand skills he needs to attack lineman. He is an excellent tackler and uses leverage and bend moves to attack past tackles in the running game. He has a good motor and a solid IQ which allows him to track plays across the field. He is a strong rusher and uses his physicality on each play.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Diaz is the only Section Two player in this article and he shows why he should be watched.
