He displayed an outstanding run stuffing ability, and filled gaps extremely well. His presence was felt by the OL the entire game, as he reached the backfield or was in on almost every tackle throughout the game.

The 6’1″ 205 pound CBA-Albany prospect displays a solid build for the EDGE position. To improve his build he can look to gain 5-10 pounds of good weight.

He plays on both sides of the ball and takes snaps at the Guard position which allow him to understand skills he needs to attack lineman. He is an excellent tackler and uses leverage and bend moves to attack past tackles in the running game. He has a good motor and a solid IQ which allows him to track plays across the field. He is a strong rusher and uses his physicality on each play.

Diaz is the only Section Two player in this article and he shows why he should be watched. His solid tool bag and pass rush skills make him an intriguing prospect in Section Two.

To add, when Diaz operates at the DE position, the quickness of his feet and hands grants him separation throughout the POA. Nevertheless, the ability to fight through his blocks in the run game off the 2 and 3 techniques was huge in his play. Overall, a tough player that will go at the opponent with pure power and force. Knowing how to stay balanced on his feet was evident on both sides of the ball.
