Burnsville may have been young last year, but the Blaze are entering 2025 with summer momentum. The offense returns nearly every starter. Burnsville is fast, tough, and developing. With a reloaded offense and raw athleticism across both units, the Blaze are eager to prove themselves this season.   Here are some players to watch for:   [player_tooltip player_id='1289981' first='Caleb' last='Kamara'] – RB   The headline for 2025 is the return of [player_tooltip player_id='1289981' first='Caleb' last='Kamara'], a “legit” Division I-caliber back who missed the entire 2024 season with a torn ankle ligament. Prior to the injury, Kamara was ranked the No. 1 running back in the state. Now healthy, he's not only back — he's setting school records in the weight room (breaking the power clean record for RBs) and flying in offseason testing, hitting 20 mph on Titan GPS sensors. Kamara is expected to be the engine of this offense, with breakaway speed, toughness, and an elite work ethic.   [player_tooltip player_id='1288386' first='Tommy' last='Subah'] – WR   The top returning receiver, Subah, flashed big-play ability in 2024 — especially in a breakout game against Mayo with 135 yards and two touchdowns. With stability at QB, the Blaze expect him to be a true No. 1 option in the passing game. He topped out at 21.9 mph in GPS tracking and will likely move around the formation.   Armando Espinal-Benitez - RT   A big-bodied right tackle entering his junior season who started last year and is expected to take a leap. Espinal is long, strikes first and can set an edge.   [player_tooltip player_id='1232221' first='JaMari' last='Sargent'] - G   A versatile lineman who can play either inside at guard or out at tackle. He is a trusted part of the offensive line group and will have every opportunity to generate openings for the Blaze's run game.   [player_tooltip player_id='1588168' first='Sam' last='Liebl'] - C   The O-Line is led by returning center [player_tooltip player_id='1588168' first='Sam' last='Liebl'], described as “super smart” and key in protection calls and adjustments. Collectively, this group's cohesion and toughness will be vital to unlocking Kamara's full potential and keeping the QB upright.   Keon Lloyd – DB   A returning defensive starter, Lloyd brings speed and intensity to the secondary. He topped 20 mph in tracking and plays with an aggressive edge, particularly at the point of attack. He has college potential if he continues to refine the technical aspects of his game.    David Santos – DL   Santos battled injuries last season but returns healthy and ready to contribute. He is a powerful lineman who projects as an anchor on the defensive front. He will be tasked with controlling gaps and disrupting opposing backfields.   Kamarh Woods – LB   Woods is one of the most exciting players on the roster. He plays with a level of toughness and physicality that defies his game. Last year, he started at nose tackle in Class 6A football and held his own. This season, he transitions to a linebacker-safety hybrid role where his instincts and strength can shine.   Landen Svenson – LB   Svenson is a returning starter and a big, strong, athletic linebacker who could have a breakout season. He brings physicality and leadership to the middle of the field.
