One of the staples of the Breck program, Kuhn is sure to be a defensive leader during his senior campaign. A built safety who was a first-team All-District member last season, Kuhn is a standout both on the field and in the classroom. Not only did he get a 33 on his ACT, but Kuhn put up some wild stats last season. In 8 games, Kuhn had 86 tackles, 2 INTs, 1 FF, 2 TFLS, and 2 punt blocks. He was also an impactful player on offense as a wideout and was the team's starting punter and kicker. His tape gives you a real sense of how talented he is. Kuhn is an athletic DB who possesses solid ball skills. He's got the hands of a wideout and the vert to bring down balls outside of a typical DB's catch radius. He's been underrecruited up to this point, so I imagine his senior year makes waves with colleges.

Roberts is one of the most intriguing athletes in his class. He led the Mustangs in receiving yards, touchdowns, and was tied for leading in receptions last season with 403, 2, and 20, respectively, all in just 6 games. He also tallied 9 tackles on defense and a kick return TD. If you watch his tape, it becomes clear that you want to feed Roberts the ball. The dude is a threat as soon as he gets the rock. He's able to anticipate the openings and closures of run lanes, especially when returning kicks, and has proven himself to be a devastating YAC threat. I expect Roberts' recruiting to blow up during his senior year, and for him to be a driving force on the Mustangs' offense.

Despite being a watch list athlete, Paster had an extremely productive season as a linebacker. He tallied 75 tackles, 2 TFLs, 0.5 sack, 1 FR, and 2 FF. He was also elected a captain this year, and may also step into an elevated role on offense as a running back this fall. His tape is loaded with highlights that showcase his grit and how scrappy he is. He's quick, with a verifiable 4.6 pro-agility at the PRZ combine, and despite being a hockey standout, tackles low like a wrestler. He's patient at the second level, and flows well to the play with disciplined reading of the offensive line. I expect Paster to be a key leader on the Mustangs' defense next season.

Waleed was a problem last season as a sophomore, hauling in the 3rd most receiving yards with 203, and led the team in yards-per-catch. He was just as productive on defense. As a member of the Mustangs' secondary, [player_tooltip player_id='1802778' first='Waleed' last='Muhammad'] reeled in 38 total tackles in just 6 games. Returning this level of two-way sustained success is going to be extremely beneficial for the team, and with two years left to evolve, Muhammad could turn into a legit prospect.

Muaath "Mu" Muhammad is a two-way stud who went tragically under the radar after what was a phenomenal junior season. He was the team's second most productive receiver, bringing down 20 balls for 279 yards and a TD. Yet he was perhaps even better on offense. As a DB, Mu brought down 53 total tackles, 2 TFLs, and 2 INTs in 7 games. He successfully built off a touted sophomore season, and if this trend continues, he's going to draw all sorts of attention during his senior year.

An exciting 2028 prospect who split time on varsity and JV last season, many expect Prevost to finally step into a large role as a potential starter on varsity in 2025. He's already turned heads at the Macalester prospect camp this summer as a WR with an explosive upside. In a high-flying pass-heavy offense like Breck's, it can never be a bad thing to have a deep receiving core, and Prevost still has three years of development. Definitely a name to keep an eye out for going forward.

The presumed RB1 for the Mustangs, and a likely candidate for the starting role as a linebacker as well, Averbook is someone who teammates see as on the verge of breaking out in 2025. Last season, he took 16 carries for 44 yards and 2 TDs, and also brought down 7 tackles on defense. He's a physical linebacker who plays hard downhill and has speed that shows on both sides of the ball. Keep an eye out for Averbook this fall.

An import last season from Iowa, Berntsen is in the perfect position to turn heads during his senior year. He only threw 4 passes last season, but he also has a lot of athletic traits and positional versatility that should lend themselves well to his dual-threat play style. Berntsen took 6 rushes for 24 yards and caught a ball for 12 yards, but had the biggest impact on defense, where he brought down 14 total tackles and a TFL. Berntsen has been given a ton of weapons ahead of this fall, and I can't wait to see how he uses them this fall.
