UW-River Falls Mega Camp: '27 and '28 OL Standouts

As the new scout at Prep Redzone, landing my first assignment at the 2025 UW-River Falls Mega Camp was exhilarating. Though I'm new here, I'm far from new to Midwest football. My roots run deep as a former UW-Eau Claire wide receiver. With more than 1,200 prospects descending for combine testing, indy drills, and one-on-ones, this camp promised and delivered a showcase of grit, athleticism, and under-the-radar stars. Over the next several reports, I'll dive into standout performances from big guys and skill players. Let's turn the spotlight on the Class of 2027 and 2028 offensive linemen to kick things off.    Moranski impressed during agility work. His quick feet, smooth transitions, and body control helped him stay in front of defenders and handle speed off the edge. The Germantown junior showed clean technique and swift recovery when challenged with fast and strong enough hands. His mobility and coordination helped him win every one-on-one rep I saw.     Leopold made his mark once the pads came on, showcasing power, control and consistency in gap-run reps. His solid frame and positional flexibility were evident, and he delivered a powerful first strike that often push defenders back. Leopold is a junior from Appleton North and has the foundation to develop into an upfront anchor. Leoplod was impressive, leading several drills once camp broke into subgroups with his respective class.     Gordon displays a natural burst off the line and immediately establishes control with his reach and lower-body strength. His frame allows him to absorb contact without giving ground. Gordon, also a junior at Germantown, competes with confidence in both interior and edge matchups. In drills, Gordon showcased consistency and awareness. He plays with urgency, finishes reps with intent, and doesn't get caught out of position.     Just a sophomore, Bauer's frame alone demands attention, and during drill work, Bauer held his own in pass protection, utilizing his reach and fast feet to absorb opposing speed-to-power rush and redirect opponents. He often maintained leverage and stayed composed when isolated against smaller and faster edge rushers.     Schmidt demonstrated athleticism and upper-body strength in both pass-circuit work and run-block drills. The junior from West De Pere confidently attacked speed rushers with striking hands and balance. His poised feet maintain stability and poise. His natural physicality give him a promising base to grow upon.
