Top 8 of 2028

I take a look at my top eight for the 2028 class. Let's dive in.    Tua'one is a premier athlete and will be nationally coveted and an exceptional talent. His position will be at WR and he can line up out wide or in the slot. He moves exceptionally well and has great hip fluidity and is a receiver with great footwork. Tua'one has an array of moves off the line to not get pressed and has great ball-tracking and is exceptionally strong at the catch point. He has a background at Quarterback and Cornerback.     Taiese is a dual-sport athlete, but his future will be in football, and he is an exceptional athlete and will be nationally recruited. He has a great release package and exceptional footwork. Taiese has good hip fluidity and has a knac for creating late separation. He's an elite prospect and is set up to be the WR1 this year for American Fork.     Savery is an elite EDGE rusher/interior defensive lineman. He is explosive off the line and has a great combination of speed and power. Savery can win using his footwork and violent hands, and finish his lineman with his burst. He can also win with brute power and overwhelm his linemen. He can single-handedly change a series and momentum with his abilities as an EDGE rusher. He is elite in every sense and will be a multi-year Power-Four starter.     Fountaine will be an elite signal caller in the state. He has all the necessary tools you look for. Fountaine has good size and will grow into his frame; he'll be able to add 15-25 lbs to his frame. He processes defenses at a great clip and has quick throwing mechanics and the ball jumps out of his hands. Fountaine throws with good velocity and a tight spiral. His ball placement is elite and will lead his receivers open. Fountaine shows good pocket manipulation and navigation and is a high level prospect. He's a Power-Four starter and a player with tremendous upside.     Tauvao is a tremendous interior defensive lineman. He is an explosive athlete with a great burst off the line and can win with power or speed. He's a mismatch nightmare of offensive lineman as he can blend his speed and power to overwhelm his lineman and will force doublr teams, which will free up his fellow EDGE rushers. For a player at 300 lbs, he has a good twitch to him. He projects as a Power Four recruit and a multi-year starter. Exceptional upside.     Cumbee is an excellent athlete and an elite cover corner. He transfers up to Bingham this year and he'll be a shut-down cover corner. Cumber has great hip fluidity and moves well laterally. He has good speed and shows that he can stick to the hip pocket of his receiver and has great footwork. Cumbee can also play off coverage and has great instincts and the ability to turn and burn. He's a Power-Four talent and is the top cover corner of the class.     Stokes is a tremendous athlete who can play on both sides of the ball, but his primary position will be an EDGE rusher. He has a great first step off the line and has a great bend at the hip to get around his lineman with the closing speed to get to the ball carrier. Stokes moves well laterally and has the necessary power to use a bull rush with a high win rate. He's an exceptional talent and will be a Power-Four recruit.     Wesley is an exceptional talent and a mismatch. He has great footwork and is a good route runner. He can be lined up anywhere and is a chess piece. He can be lined up as a traditional tight end or can be detached and lined up out wide. He's too big and physical for cornerbacks and too fast and twitchy for linebackers and most safeties. He has an exceptional ceiling and will be a Power-Four recruit and the epitome of the modern-day tight end.    That was my top eight of 2028.
