Several rising sophomores across Texas are already making waves. Some earned varsity starting jobs as freshmen, leading their teams into the playoffs, while others are poised for breakout seasons this fall. These quarterbacks represent the next wave of talent in Texas high school football, and college programs are already taking notice. Expect several of these names to become household ones across the state in 2025 and beyond. Here's a look at a few names to know:

Zinglemann is a big-bodied QB with a big-time arm, good touch on deep throws, and mechanically sound footwork. He picked offers from UTSA and Midwestern State this offseason.

https://twitter.com/Zay_Adolphe28/status/1865436480442667314

One of the top returning passers in Texas for 2028, Phillips has a quick release, strong arm, and the ability to make every throw on the route tree.
