A Juco wide receiver that stood out quickly in the live eval we got on the wide receivers at SDSU a couple Mondays back, was Christon Requeina of Minnesota West. This young man showed off some burning change of direction when watching his route-running and showed off well-versed polish with getting separation easily in Brookings from the reps I watched against most HS competition. The 6'0 nearly 200 pounder out of the state of Florida, had some eye-catching testing numbers too, with a 4.67 in the 40-yard dash, 4.5 in the pro agility and a 10 (!) foot broad jump at that elite wide receiver size. A young man that should certainly get some NCAA offers soon from his last couple of camps.

I was excited to finally get my live eval on one of our top-tier running backs this summer, in Brandon Valley's [player_tooltip player_id='1532671' first='Levi' last='Veskrna']. The first thing I learned very quickly when watching Levi, is just how coachable this young man appeared to be at the SDSU prospect camp. Most of the reps I watched from Levi were doing the dirty work as a run and pass blocker, and from rep one to his final rep during camp, I saw an pretty impressive growth curve forward which is obviously very intriguing during a live eval as he got way more comfortable by the end of camp as a pass-blocker. I feel Levi is a 2026 that is flying under the radar right now with just one NAIA offer thus far.

Owen is a 2026 wide receiver that I have been tracking it seems like years already and as a prospect I see at nearly every camp this summer, I have grasped the upwards growth curve he's made this summer which popped out at SDSU. I've been intrigued with the game-speed Owen plays with and in Brookings last week, it was the improved technique with his hands that caught my attention. His process of getting his hands around on short routes has gotten quick in my eyes and Owen has shown better finish this summer with his catches in high traffic areas. He holds a couple G5 offers at the moment and I wouldn't doubt more local attention could come his way soon.

Mikey is one of the biggest speedsters on the track this spring, showed off his speed in football form quickly at the SDSU prospect camp. Not just his speed was on display either, as Mikey torched a few others in the reps I watched with how sudden he was too with his change of direction as the translating track speed was evident on the gridrion in Brookings. You could tell in the later reps too for Mikey that his football IQ as a route-runner brings the electricity on every rep from what I watched and in my eyes, there should be some more D1 opportunities come his way this summer as the rise this young man has made in the last 6 months is going to be clear-cut when you see where he ends up in our SD 2026 rankings update in a couple weeks.

Max was one of my top tier tight ends I saw at the SDSU prospect camp a couple weeks back and its been no surprise to me to see his recruitment amp up in this 2026 class. The Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase TE MVP, has gotten even more fluid with his twitch in this live eval I got in Brookings, as Max is one of the more elite route-runners amongst the tight ends still available in this 2026 class with offers picking up steam recently. He by far is one of the best Rapid City Area tight ends I have seen in the last five ish years we have been in the Dakotas and should be an excellent fit in the NSIC or RMAC.

Hunter is a tight end I was ecstatic for how sound he was in the first live eval I got from him at the SDSU prospect camp. You could easily feel the attention too he was getting from the SDSU staff while getting coached up as to me it was pretty evident that they were intrigued by what he showed off especially in the blocking reps I watched in Brookings. Excellent pad-level on every block I watched him make, and showed off the athleticism that stood out watching him run his feet with efficiency during individual drills I watched. Hunter is one I am fired up about in this upcoming 2027 rankings update in the TE group and kids like him are a great reason why the live eval matters so much to colleges coaches and scouts like us.

I've gotten a few camp evals on Louison over the last year or so, as he has blossomed in this South Dakota 2026 class, but the one I got from him at the SDSU prospect camp was by far his best live eval to date. I loved what I saw with how smooth Louison has become with his hands as I could've tell in Brookings he has only become more natural of a pass-catcher with reps, reps, and more reps as a WR target that I feel has made some great rounds at camps this summer. The 6'0 200 pounder from 11AAA powerhouse Sioux Falls Lincoln, ran a 4.65 40-yard dash, 4.4 in the pro agility, and 9'6 in the broad jump showing off the explosiveness that has been evident to these eyes in the Dakotas for a couple of years now. I certainly feel most of the NSIC is going to put up a fight to land Louison and I wouldn't doubt some possible Missouri Valley attention could be coming his way as Louison grades out as a FCS grade on my board.
