A 2026 defensive end that caught my attention on the eye test right away in Brookings, was [player_tooltip player_id='1613489' first='William' last='Becker'] from St. Francis. He impressed me during agility drills with how smooth he was with his change of direction at that size and finished his reps with well-versed finish. During the later reps at SDSU, he showed off a good burst of power and fluidity when he got off his blocks from a movement perspective. William to me is a 2026 sleeper in this class that ijs starting to get NSIC offers.

A new name in our Nebraska database that intrigued me at the first SDSU prospect camp was Ashton Waikeley out of Harlington. The 6'3 245 pounder showed off some good base of explosion off the eye test over at the broad jump jumping in high 8s and looks like there was room for more explosion in my eyes. During the live eval, I was impressed with the generation of quick strength that Ashton could generate in his 1v1s which also showed great balance with his pad-level consistently. College coaches were taking notice too, as he's picked up a slough of offers since the last SDSU camp. Twitter

A 2026 DL that has generated a good chunk of my attention this summer at camps is La Crosse Aquinas 2026 [player_tooltip player_id='402822' first='Will' last='Flottmeyer'] as that was again the case at SDSU. I've noticed Will has grown quickly this summer with the speed and effiency of his hands showing the mix of strength and quicker releases off his sheds. Another skill set that grew to me at SDSU, is his fluidity with his movement as I thought he's gotten more sudden in such a short time. Super surprised how lightly Will's been recruited this summer as the tools are growing in his skillset box.

In my eyes, one of the best winners at the SDSU prospect camp was [player_tooltip player_id='1602726' first='Simon' last='Vinton'] of Orono as he got a plethora of offers come thru from his camp performance in Brookings and was in my top-tier too for defensive ends. His impressive hands were an eye-catcher all day as Simon showed off an agile get off for his size (with still plenty of room to grow) and was swift getting his hands off his sheds. I would say he is one of Minnesota's bigger camp risers this summer. Twitter
