With top performers beginning to separate themselves early, it's clear that this event is loaded with high-level talent—even among the underclassmen. While I spotlighted a few of these promising young prospects in the Day 1 Notebag, several more made strong impressions yesterday. These underclassmen continue to prove they belong on the same stage as the upperclassmen, showcasing advanced skill sets, poise, and high ceilings for development. As evaluations continue, it's becoming evident that this group could produce some of the state's future standout recruits.

Christian Ross - Montgomery Central (TN)

He's got noticeable pop out of his hand and moves with quickness and control. His release is smooth and efficient, allowing him to get the ball out quickly in rhythm. I shared a video of him on my Twitter yesterday, and it's easy to see why he stands out—his natural talent jumps off the screen. He's part of a deep and talented 2028 class that continues to impress.

CJ Hardy - Mount Juliet (TN)

This young quarterback is already showing the kind of talent that suggests he'll soon be a name to watch in Tennessee high school football. He moves exceptionally well, displaying the athleticism to extend plays and make throws on the run with confidence and control. What sets him apart even further is his polished throwing motion—smooth, efficient, and repeatable—allowing him to deliver the ball with both zip and accuracy. With his combination of mobility, mechanics, he's poised to become a standout in the near future.

[player_tooltip player_id='1701072' first='Tyson' last='Howell'] - Greenwood (KY)

Tyson already has an impressive frame that's developing well for his age, giving him a strong physical foundation at this stage in his progression. Combine that with a naturally talented arm, and it's no surprise he's been one of the younger standouts this weekend. He throws with confidence, shows good command of the field, and continues to turn heads with each session. Definitely a name to keep on your radar for the future.

[player_tooltip player_id='1718193' first='PJ' last='Williams'] - Rose Park (TN)

Here's a prospect who really caught my eye yesterday. His mechanics are clearly trending in the right direction, and the raw arm talent is already evident. For a Class of 2029 athlete, he's well ahead of the curve in both skill and maturity. On top of that, he's a standout athlete—fluid, mobile, and explosive. Definitely a name to keep an eye on in the coming years as he continues to develop.

[player_tooltip player_id='1546805' first='Cade' last='Boldin'] - Waverly (TN)

This young quarterback is already showing signs of being a well-rounded player at an early stage in his development. What stands out just as much as his physical tools is his vocal leadership—something that's rare and valuable to see in a young prospect. His throwing motion is clean and efficient, with a smooth, effortless release that allows him to stay consistent. He's laying a strong foundation for long-term success.

Tyson Biggs - Owensboro (KY)

When this young prospect fully grows into his frame by the time he's a senior, he's going to be a name to watch closely. Already one of the most accurate quarterbacks in the group, he continues to stack quality reps with consistency and confidence. His poise and command on the field are well beyond his years—he certainly doesn't look or play like a freshman.
