Recruiting Spotlight 6/29- Last Week's Top Commitments

As we head further into the offseason, the recruiting world only keeps moving.   Today, we are highlighting some of the top commitments across the state from last week! These guys have such bright futures ahead, so we're diving into where's next for them.   As always, check out their tape below- we have so much talent here in Alabama, you won't want to miss these prospects before they're off to the next level!    [player_tooltip player_id='1566067' first='Tony' last='Arnett'] is a talented DB out of Central who's picked up a ton of collegiate attention throughout this offseason.   "Arnett is a physical DB not afraid to dish out hits- he's a strong tackler, is great at wrapping up, and can occasionally dislodge the ball with how hard he hits WRs. Arnett is a really talented out in coverage. He has great hands he uses to rack up pass breakups and interceptions against some talented offenses, consistently coming up with huge stops for his team.   It's clear Arnett's great at studying film- constantly on tape you'll watch him fly to the play before the offense is even ready- it's super impressive to watch."   Arnett ended the year with 42 total tackles (32 solo, 2 for loss), one sack, 5 pass breakups, and one INT.    Yesterday, Arnett announced on Twitter that he had committed to Liberty! He's going to be a huge asset to their secondary- make sure you keep eye on him going forward.   Check out some of Arnett's tape below:      [player_tooltip player_id='1649062' first='Keegan' last='Chapman'] is a talented DB out of Jackson who's seen his stock rise a ton this offseason.   "Chapman is a versatile DB who can affect the game in multiple ways- he's really reliable in coverage, is a force against the run, and can be used as an effective blitzer in the backfield. In coverage, Chapman is physical at the line of scrimmage, excels in man-to-man, and has the ball skills to break up and intercept passes all around the field.   Chapman brings the same energy attacking the run- he's quick to react, can fight off blockers, and is a sound tackler who doesn't allow for any extra yards after making first contact."   A few days back, Chapman committed to North Carolina! Chapman's a dominant defender with a huge season ahead- it'll be exciting watching him this fall.   Check out some of his film below:      [player_tooltip player_id='695078' first='Jaxon' last='Penn'] is a talented ATH out of Mars Hill who's been especially dominant at DB.   "Penn lines up at CB and can come away with a ton of impressive plays out in coverage- he's incredibly quick, isn't easily beat, and is great at using his hands to break up and intercept passes. Penn thrives in press-man coverage with how physical he is-he wears down WRs at the line of scrimmage, practically runs their routes for them, and also uses his hands to make plays on the ball.   Penn is just as good at defending the run. He's a strong tackler who can make a lot of impressive plays out in pursuit down by the line of scrimmage and in the open field."   Penn had a terrific season last fall, ending the year with 57 total tackles, 2 INTs, and 6 PBUs   Penn announced late last week that he had committed to Troy! Penn is a lockdown DB with a huge season ahead- make sure you watch out for him this fall.   Check out some of Penn's film below:      [player_tooltip player_id='1630521' first='Jackson' last='Carlisle'] is a dominant DL out of Central Tuscaloosa who made a big decision with his recruitment last week.   “Carlisle is a force on the line of scrimmage. He explodes off the snap, has quick, violent hands, and can completely overwhelm OL with his size, speed, and strength. It's seriously impressive seeing how Carlisle wins in the trenches- he has a wide variety of moves he uses to get by offensive linemen, and makes it look effortless.   Once in the backfield, Carlisle is terrific at generating pressure, forcing bad decisions, and taking down the quarterback. He also presents a ton of obstacles against the run- he's terrific in pursuit and is a great tackler who doesn't allow for any additional yards after making contact.“   Carlisle put together a great season last fall, ending the year with 65 total tackles (35 solo, 5 for loss), 5 sacks, and 6 hurries.   Mid last week, Carlisle announced he'd committed to Boston College! Carlisle is landing in a great spot; it's going to be fun watching him play out this year and on at the next level.   Check out some of Carlisle's film below:      [player_tooltip player_id='1640564' first='Noah' last='Moss'] is a dominant RB out of St. Michael Catholic who dropped some huge news last Sunday.   "Moss is a quick, versatile playmaker on offense who utilizes his size, speed, and hands out of the backfield and out wide to come up with some huge plays.   Moss is fast, has great vision, and does a great job finding rushing lanes and following his blockers to maximize each carry. On top of that, Moss runs some really nice routes, gains lots of separation, and can cause some serious damage after the catch with how well he makes defenders miss in the open field."   Moss was dominant last season, recording 252 carries for 1805 yards and 32 TDs on the ground, 44 receptions for 530 yards and 3 TDs through the air, and 12 total tackles (8 for loss) and 4 sacks on defense.   Last week, Moss announced he had committed to South Alabama! It's been awesome watching Moss over the past year, his senior season is going to be exciting to watch.
