Recruiting notes for our 2026 Class

It will be interesting to see how Penn State's 2026 class shakes out as this would be the 4th year in a row they have nabbed a top 50 Virginia based prospect. Both have a chance to make an impact in the Nittany Lions receiver room right away in my opinion.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Rutgers and Syracuse are rolling</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This is more of a national observation but just in past couple of weeks both the Scarlet Knights and Orangemen have nabbed some of Virginia's top rated prospects. Rutgers has [player_tooltip player_id='1299345' first='Dyzier' last='Carter'] and [player_tooltip player_id='855053' first='Brady' last='Owens'] already in the fold while Syracuse just picked up a major commitment from Stone Bridge long time star corner [player_tooltip player_id='1297530' first='Chase' last='Geter']. Coach Schiano's staff also nabbed Battlefield defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='853821' first='Brandon' last='Murray'] and are making big pushes for several more Virginia top ranked prospects.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Syracuse seems to be trending in a much different direction under second year Head Coach Fran Brown. The Orangemen have been active across the DMV and please do not forget they nabbed one of the top quarterbacks in the country in Tyrell Grant. Grant is outstanding quarterback who is now focused on championship hardware for him and his Warrior teammates. So far they have gained commitments from quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='853820' first='Calum' last='O'Shea'], [player_tooltip player_id='1205826' first='Brayson' last='Bristow'], Matthew Holland and just today Flint Hill mega star [player_tooltip player_id='853070' first='Ty' last='Harris']. Watching Harris this off-season he looks poised to lead the Huskies back to the playoffs, he has been the best player at each event I have attended. Bristow is 6'5 was all region linemen selection last fall, he had many FCS and FBS schools coming after him. With close to 10 offers the big man decided to stay close to home and I think it is a perfect fit for him.
