Welcome to a new series on Prep Redzone North Carolina, one I'm quite excited to get started. This idea started after running several community film room pieces. Those are typically reserved for initial evaluations of players outside of our rankings, but there are plenty of great players already ranked who haven't had a recent evaluation. What about them?

Welcome to the second installment of ranked prospect evaluations! Here, I'm taking players who already sit in the rankings, but haven't had a recent evaluation. Using our evaluation block tool, I'm giving these five players new evaluations that will live on their profile pages, accessible by our college and high school subscribers alike. Here, I'm focused on guys in the 2027 class

Trahan is a talented linebacker, but his ticket to a college roster is probably his steady long snapping. I haven't gotten to see much of him as a long snapper, but he's an instinctive linebacker with good speed and the ability to read offensive keys and put himself in position to make tackles. With two years remaining, we're excited to see how he continues to develop.

After starting at Kings Mountain, Littlejohn transferred to Hunter Huss as a sophomore where he blossomed into a productive receiver. He's especially useful as a deep threat who has good speed and ball skills, showing the ability to make contested catches down the field. He has the ability to play both ways as he flashed as a safety as a freshman, but we like him most at receiver.

Little's overall volume dwindled as the year progressed last season, but he was still a productive back, producing nearly 500 yards and flashing big-play potential. He has serious power and while he's not going to run away from faster players in the secondary, he can outrun linebackers to the edge and get up the field when needed.

Phillips is one of the fastest backs in the state and that speed is gaining him some serious summer notoriety. Since we updated rankings in late May, Phillips has picked up five FBS offers, including one from NC State after an awesome camp with the Wolfpack. I don't want to downplay his other traits, but the speed is real and it's what has people excited about his prospects in college. Low-4.4 speed, good burst and vision make for a good combination and he's set for a MAJOR rankings boost in the next update.

A talented, athletic offensive lineman, Kelly can play center or guard and is at his best in space. While he's good enough to bang around in zone schemes, he's at his best when he gets moving and can pull as a lead blocker on power and counter runs. We'd like to see him gain a bit more weight to be ready for the college level, but as a high schooler, he's a key part of Reidsville's talented offense.
