As we head deeper into the month of June, the 2025 high school football season is quickly approaching. With that in mind, I wanted to take some time to highlight some incoming seniors in specific areas of the state of Kentucky. Over the next week, I will be highlighting incoming seniors at each position in Northern Kentucky. To kick things off, here are some notable quarterbacks to watch in the class of 2026 in Northern Kentucky.

[player_tooltip player_id='283958' first='Cam' last='O'Hara'] is the best returning quarterback in the entire state of Kentucky. He is coming off a very impressive junior year in which he completed 212/325 passes for 3,617 yards, 52 touchdowns, and only three interceptions in 15 games. Cam has the arm talent to make any throw that he needs to, including in the deep passing game where he has shown the arm strength to lead his receivers down the field with ease. He also has very impressive pocket mobility, showing the ability to maneuver in the pocket while keeping his eyes down the field to find the open receiver. O'Hara has also shown the ability to tuck the ball and make plays with his legs as needed, finishing this past season with 59 carries for 186 yards and four touchdowns. Cam is committed to Western Kentucky where I can see him being a very successful quarterback at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='401922' first='Mario' last='Litmer'] is a quarterback who has been high on my radar for a while now and continued to stand out as a junior, completing 193/281 passes for 2,791 yards, 33 touchdowns, and eight interceptions in 14 games. Litmer throws an impressive deep ball, using his arm strength to stretch the field while also showing the touch to put the ball where only his intended receiver can catch it. He is also very poised under pressure, showing the ability to stand tall in the pocket and deliver passes with defenders in his face. Litmer also finished his junior season with 68 carries for 236 yards and five touchdowns. Mario doesn't currently hold any offers but I can see some coming his way soon as he has received some interest from Division I programs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1584313' first='Cash' last='Harney'] is a player who jumped onto my radar with a strong junior year. Harney played in a run-heavy offense last season where he was very impressive running the read option. He was dangerous in the open field when deciding to keep the ball, using his speed and elusiveness to break away on long runs at any given moment. Cash finished this past season as his team's leading rusher with 150 carries for 1,476 yards and 19 touchdowns. As a passer, Harney has shown the arm strength to stretch the field in the deep passing game. This past season, Harney completed 86/148 passes for 1,303 yards, 13 touchdowns, and two interceptions. Harney doesn't currently hold any offers but he should definitely be a player for college coaches to keep an eye on heading into his senior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='773240' first='Nathan' last='Verax'] is another quarterback who had a solid junior year, completing 186/317 passes for 2,374 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions in 15 games. Verax has shown impressive ball placement, regardless of where he is throwing to on the field, putting the ball in a spot where only his intended receiver can catch it. He has also shown the arm strength to lead his receivers down the field in the deep passing game. Nathan also showed impressive dual-threat ability as a junior, running the ball 131 times for 599 yards and seven touchdowns. Verax has received some college interest and I expect his recruitment to continue to heat up this summer.

My final notable 2026 quarterback to watch in Northern Kentucky this season is [player_tooltip player_id='1268277' first='Kaleb' last='Evans']. Evans had a strong junior season, completing 151/234 passes for 2,070 yards, 24 touchdowns, and three interceptions in 12 games. Kaleb has a very strong arm which he uses to stretch the field and hit his receivers in stride in the deep passing game. He has also shown impressive accuracy, showing the ability to fit passes into tight windows where only his intended receiver can catch it. Evans also finished this past season with four rushing touchdowns. Kaleb currently holds offers from Calumet and Ottawa, and I expect more to come his way as he has the talent to play quarterback at the next level.
