CL/G-LR has been pumping out college prospects for most of this decade. The program develops fundamentally sound student-athletes for the next level. Drenth is among the next in line as a two-way prep standout in the trenches. On defense, he contributed 19.0 tackles (5.5 TFL) and a sack. He also helped pave the way for a potent and balanced Lion offensive attack. His junior highlight video reveals how he finds success on the gridiron. An all-district offensive lineman, Drenth lined up at left tackle, where his athleticism aided is solid performance in pass-pro. He complements the agility with power and physicality. Drenth has a frame that can add mass and strength without him losing his the traits that stand out already.

Spirit Lake reached the Class 2A state championship game last season thanks to contributions from a wide array of student-athletes. Walz did his part in all three phases. His lone carry resulted in a 23-yard gain. He collected 21.0 tackles (18 solo, 3.0 TFL), a sack and an interception. Walz averaged 22.0 yards on two kick returns, and brought back nine punts for 158 yards and a touchdown. There isn't much evidence of his exploits housed on his Hudl page. Most of the footage is of him playing basketball, which shows off the athleticism he brings to the football field. The clips on there do display what makes him find success on the gridiron. He's fluid playing cornerback, flipping his hips smoothly to change directions with explosiveness breaking on the ball. It's a skill set that also could work on safety on the next level.

Hinton reached The Dome last season with Kempema contributing on both sides of the ball. On offense, he hauled in nine balls for 107 yards and three touchdowns. Kempema also completed his lone pass for 59 yards. Defensively, the junior piled up 30.0 tackles (20 solo, .5 TFL) and intercepted three passes. During his 11th-grade highlight video, Kempema impresses with his versatility and athleticism. They allow him to play receiver and deliver lining up off the edge on defense, a unique combination of skills. Matching up with Kempema when he's out wide is complicated by the speed and frame allowing him to win on various routes. He could fit at multiple defensive positions as well.

During a difficult 2024 season for Warriors, Molina stood out. His return along with other productive pieces on the roster could mean brighter days are ahead for Sioux Center this fall. Molina contributed in multiple ways last year. He rushed for 257 yards and caught seven passes for 77 yards. On defense, Molina registered 28.0 tackles (23 solo, 5.0 TFL), a pair of sacks and an interception. He also returned kicks. Molina statistics should rise with an offseason of development to build on what we witness watching his junior highlight video. On it, Molina flashes potential as a receiver with size and speed. He's more advanced on defense at this point, however. An active linebacker that runs well, he could fit in the secondary for some college programs.

The Cardinals won six games last season but came up just short of the playoffs. With Reed and other talent returning, Earlham stands a chance of getting to the postseason in 2025. For his part, Reed delivers disruption as a defensive end, as we witness watching his junior highlight video. He produced 22 solo stops and 2.5 tackles for loss last season thanks to a combination of agility, speed and physicality. Reed has a plan when the ball is snapped. It aligns with the defensive scheme, in which he stays disciplined, making plays within its framework. Defensive end suits him well right now, but he also could grow into a tackle, where his athleticism would play up even more.

During Wahlert's undefeated state championship season of 2024, the Golden Eagles received key contributions from a bevy of student-athletes. Schumacher impacted all three phases of the game. He rushed for 168 yards (9.3 YPC) and two touchdowns, caught three passes for 59 yards, recorded 39.5 tackles (29.0 solo) and picked off two passes, averaged 31.4 yards and scored once on 31 kick returns, and averaged 12.6 yards on 10 punt returns. There's no truth to the rumor he sold concessions at halftime. Schumacher's junior highlight video reveals how he can contribute in so many areas. Speed stands out right away. He's tough to catch once in space. While slot receiver is an option at the next level, his play at cornerback impresses as well. He shows fluid hip movements, reads the ball well in the air and closes on it quickly. Schumacher also plays with physicality.
